Quarterbacks

*-Ben Roethlisberger banged his injured thumb in practice today but it's not supposed to be anything that will prevent him from starting for Pittsburgh this weekend.

*-Josh Freeman has been very limited in practices this week because of a shoulder injury and while tentatively expected to be okay to start this week, he will likely be listed as Questionable on the injury report. If Freeman can't play, Josh Johnson would start in his place for Tampa Bay.

*-Sam Bradford missed practice today because of an aggravation to the ankle injury that caused him to miss a few games earlier this season. Consider Bradford Questionable for week 13 and even if active, I would hope you have better fantasy options. If Bradford can't play, A.J. Feeley would get the start for St. Louis.

*-Minnesota released Donovan McNabb today. There's no shortage of teams looking for help at the QB position, but the question is whether McNabb has anything left in the tank? He's been bad the last 2 seasons and while he provides a veteran presence and a winning history when he was in his prime, he's not in his prime and the wins haven't been there the last 2 seasons.

Running Backs

*-Michael Turner didn't practice again today because of a nagging groin issue. While I tentatively expect he'll return to practice tomorrow, if he doesn't I'd be worried about his status for this weekend. Be sure to be checking my fantasy football blog on Saturday afternoon for the complete team by team updates to see the absolute latest on Turner and what his status is for this week.

*-Also missing practice today was Cincinnati's Cedric Benson. Benson has a foot injury and while it's believed they're just resting their workhorse RB, it's always concerning when a guy doesn't practice at all two days in a row. If Benson doesn't practice tomorrow, it likely means Bernard Scott would get the start.

*-Ahmad Bradshaw is unlikely to play this week if he doesn't practice tomorrow. Tom Coughlin has come out and said that if Bradshaw doesn't practice, he won't play. Personally, I think Bradshaw will miss this week. At best he'd be in a split situation with Brandon Jacobs, making neither an attractive fantasy play this week.

*-Good news for Detroit's Kevin Smith. He was able to practice some today despite having an ankle injury and while he isn't at full strength, he is now expected to be able to play week 13. His likely return means the polish comes off the fantasy upside of Maurice Morris.

*-Willis McGahee returned to practice today after missing yesterday's with an illness. He'll be fine for week 13.

*-New England added two RB's to the practice report injury listings today. Danny Woodhead apparently suffered an abdominal injury while Shane Vereen now is listed with a hamstring issue. All this just solidifies the status of BenJarvus Green-Ellis as a solid fantasy play this week against a weak Indianapolis run defense.

*-And just a reminder that neither Minnesota's Adrian Peterson (ankle) nor Oakland's Darren McFadden (foot) are expected to play this week.

Wide Receivers

*-Miles Austin has been unable to practice this week because of his lingering hamstring injury and is now expected to miss week 13.

*-Hakeem Nicks was held out of practice today to give him another day of rest. Nicks has both bruised ribs and a minor concussion. He's reportedly been cleared to return from the concussion, but the team is just being very careful with him as it appears they will be without Mario Manningham this week. Manningham has a knee injury and he isn't expected to play week 13. There's even talk that his season may be in jeopardy, but there's been no official word about that. Victor Cruz practiced in full today after being limited yesterday with a minor hip injury. Cruz will start without issue. Nicks should start as long as he practices tomorrow, which he is expected to do. Ramses Barden is expected to fill in as the Giants #3 WR with Manningham likely out.

*-Atlanta's Julio Jones missed practice again today and his status for week 13 is now uncertain. If he can't play Harry Douglas would start in his place.

*-Houston's Andre Johnson was limited in practice again today, but he's still fully expected to be fine for week 13.

*-Pittsburgh's Emmanuel Sanders missed practice with a foot injury. It's probably just best to leave him on fantasy benches.

*-Oakland's Jacoby Ford missed practice again today with his foot injury and I feel confident in saying he isn't going to play this week. Teammate Denarius Moore also missed practice but he is reportedly getting close to returning from his ankle injury and he may come down to a game time decision. I wouldn't be trusting him though unless he practices tomorrow.

*-Eddie Royal was able to practice some today despite an ankle injury. He's likely to be Questionable for week 13 and you shouldn't be starting him even if he was healthy.

Tight Ends

*-Dallas Clark has been ruled OUT for this weekend because of his lingering lower leg injury. Jacob Tamme starts against the Colts this week.

*-Jared Cook returned to a full practice today and is fully expected to be fine to start week 13. Cook had suffered a minor concussion last week.

Kickers

*-Sebastian Janikowski is fully expected to be fine for week 13 despite being rested some in practices this week. Janikowski has been kicking thru a lingering hamstring strain the past couple of games but he certainly seemed to be fine last week when he boomed 6 FG's for the Raiders. He'll be fine for week 13.
