News and Notes 11-10-11

*-Kevin Kolb missed practice again today. He may want to play against his former team this week but it's just incredibly unlikely. John Skelton will start again for Arizona this week.

Running Backs

*-It's sounding like Ahmad Bradshaw won't be able to play week 10 because of his foot injury. Bradshaw hasn't practiced and I expect we'll see Brandon Jacobs get most of the workload this week against the 49ers.

*-Felix Jones didn't practice again today. This is a pretty strong sign that he isn't going to be able to play week 10.

*-Mark Ingram was limited for a second day in a row in practice. While it's a good sign he practiced, I wouldn't go inserting him into starting lineups this week. At best he'd be a weakened version of the same disappointing fantasy RB we saw the first several weeks of the season.

*-After practicing in full yesterday, Tashard Choice was limited today. No idea if he had a setback or if the Redskins are just taking it easy on him, but if Choice did suffer a setback it at least removes one of the RB's from the weekly Washington "who's it going to be this week" dilemma.

*-Joseph Addai missed practice today and while he tentatively is expected to be active again this week, like he's been the last 2 games for Indianapolis, it's expected to be in the same "emergency" role. Donald Brown probably is the RB with the most potential value from Indy this week.

*-Joe McKnight hasn't been able to practice yet this week for the Jets because of a toe injury. I doubt you were thinking about starting him anyway.

*-Mike Goodson is expected to miss a couple of weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in practice. Not that he was getting any playing time in Carolina behind Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams.

Wide Receivers

*-Hakeem Nicks is progressing on schedule and put in a limited practice today. He is supposed to do so again tomorrow and be fine to start week 10 despite his tender hamstring.

*-Lance Moore missed practice today because of what is being called a minor hamstring strain. We won't know for sure that he's good to play until we see the Friday practice report so be sure to be looking for my team by team news and notes on Saturday with all the latest player updates.

*-Julio Jones was limited in practice today but it's believed the Falcons are just scaling him back some and not an aggravation of his hamstring injury. Like with Moore, we won't know for sure until we see the Friday report.

*-Devin Hester missed practice again today with his ankle injury. It was believed to be minor but there's a chance he could either be limited this weekend, or could miss it entirely.

*-Lee Evans actually put in a second straight day of limited practices and there's a chance he may finally play week 10. But I kind of doubt it myself and don't see why the Ravens need him as Torrey Smith is starting to emerge as a legitimate starting NFL WR and fantasy consideration.

Tight Ends

*-Jermaine Gresham missed practice today and it's not known if he had a setback in his attempted return from a hamstring injury that's plagued him the last few weeks or not.

*-As expected, Dallas Clark has been ruled OUT for week 10. Likely he'll miss a couple of games at least with his leg injury.

*-Also as expected, Tony Gonzalez returned to a limited practice today. He's fine to start this week.

*-Lance Kendricks of St. Louis and Jared Cook of Tennessee both missed practice again today. Kendricks isn't expected to play this week, and probably not next week either with his foot injury. Cook is tentatively expected to be able to play despite his knee injury but I wouldn't start him unless I had no other even poor option considering he's done very little this year.

*-Detroit's Jason Hanson was limited today in practice. The Lions brought in two kickers yesterday for a workout because Hanson had some stitches during the bye week while on a vacation but it appears he will be okay to kick for the Lions Sunday. But again, be sure to check the Saturday team by team news and notes in my blog to be sure.
