Quarterbacks

*-Michael Vick missed practice again today. Vince Young took all the first team reps and it is a foregone conclusion now that Young will start Sunday night. There's still an outside chance Vick plays, but it's looking very doubtful.

*-Kevin Kolb was very limited in practice today for the Cardinals and while it's a good sign that he's finally practicing some, he isn't going to start this week. John Skelton will in his place for a 3rd consecutive week and try to get the Cardinals their first 3 game win streak since 2009.

*-While I usually stay totally away from this type of rumor mill, it needs to be noted that rumors of Brett Favre coming out of retirement to QB the Houston Texans are ludicrous. Matt Leinart will be given every opportunity to be their starter going forward.

Running Backs

*-Jahvid Best has been seen at the Lions facility this week and while that's a good sign, there's still no timetable for his return from a concussion suffered a while back and he definitely isn't playing week 11.

*-Ahmad Bradshaw says his foot feels good and that he expects to play week 12, but this is week 11 and so I am going to assume he is sitting out this week. Don't know why that is, or why he's not practicing at all so far this week if he's really "feeling good" right now. Either way, don't expect Bradshaw to play this week.

*-Darren McFadden missed practice again today and he is very unlikely to play this week. Expect a possible week 12 return for him.

*-Ryan Grant returned to practice and will play this week. Grant has a cut on his knee that required stitches but he's expected to be fine.

*-Beanie Wells practiced in limited fashion today after missing yesterday's practice. He remains on track to start this week for Arizona.

*-Frank Gore says he'll be fine for week 11 as well. Gore has feasted on this week's opponent, Arizona, plenty in the past having averaged about 125 combined yards per game and scored 11 or his 44 career TD's before the 2011 season started against them.

Wide Receiver

*-Steve Johnson was limited in practice today because of his nagging shoulder injury but he is still currently expected to be fine for week 11.  Meanwhile teammate David Nelson has been sick the last two days and while he hasn't practiced he is expected to be okay by Sunday.

*-Julio Jones missed practice again and unless he practices tomorrow he probably won't play because of his hamstring injury. Be sure to check my fantasy football blog on Saturday afternoon for an update on Jones, and all players who are questionable, in the Team by Team news and notes I post there.

*-A.J. Green was unable to practice and while it's said that he will be a game time decision, at this moment it doesn't look good for his chances.

*-Another missed practice for Jeremy Maclin and he looks very doubtful to play with his shoulder and hamstring injuries. While Riley Cooper would officially start in Maclin's absence, it's Jason Avant who probably makes the best potential acquisition as a desperation fantasy option.

*-Wes Welker was limited some in practice today reportedly because of a knee issue. But he is fully expected to be fine by Sunday and it's likely the Patriots are just taking it easy on him as he has had a few various minor injuries this season.

*-Malcom Floyd missed practice again today and he is sounding very unlikely to play for San Diego this week. Expect Vincent Brown to start again in Floyd's place.

*-Danario Alexander was limited in practice for a second straight day but speculation around the Rams is that he isn't ready to play quite yet because of his lingering hamstring injury.

*-Lee Evans has been practicing in limited fashion but until he can put in a full practice I seriously doubt he'll play in any games any time soon.

*-Mohamed Massaquoi practiced again today and it now appears he'll be able to play for Cleveland this week. But I wouldn't be starting him.

Tight Ends

*-Antonio Gates didn't practice today but it's believed he was just give the day off. That's been fairly standard for Gates this season as San Diego is attempting to limit how often he has to be on his questionable feet.

*-Visanthe Shiancoe was limited in practice today after he suffered a minor hamstring injury. It's not believed to be serious though.

*-Jeremy Shockey has yet to practice this week because of his ribs and hip injuries. He may be heading for a game time decision.

*-Also likely to be a game time decision is the Cardinals Todd Heap. Heap was limited in practices today but he's been limited in practices for a few weeks and hasn't been active on game days in a while because of a hamstring injury.

*-Lance Kendricks has been able to practice in limited fashion this week and he has an outside chance of playing this week for the Rams. But considering he's been one of the biggest disappointments of the season after lots of preseason hype I wouldn't consider this to be of any consequence for any fantasy owners.

I do have to say though, the best thing I got out of FFS was the weekly Fantasy Alerts sent directly to my email. I had a few guys compliment me on my waiver wire pickups.
