What do you think about this deal? I think it has potential. LJ is my #3 behind Gore/MTurner/Chris Johnson. PLAX is my #2 behind BMarshall. My thoughts: LJ: is on a team that abandons the run, he shows up against DEN but nothing against OAK...can't be relied upon. Gets pulled in passing situations for Charles - even in the red zone. Herm is a tool. But LJ is a uber talented back on a crappy team. Thomas Jones:  Great O-line and a cake schedule. Should have a higher floor but lower ceiling than LJ. Less talented than LJ - a mediocre back - also Favre has a penchant for throwing in teh red zone. What will Jesse Chatman and LWashington - 2 really good backs on tehir own but the combo could eventually replace TJ if he sputters. PLAX: Obviously a borderline STUD WR...but the Giants tend to play a tad conservative. When up by a few scores they run with Jacobs/Ward. Jacobs is a threat to score anywhere in teh red zone so jumpballs to Plax aren't as frequent. Eli is a little unpredictable. Looked out of sync last week but could be temporary. TO: STUD WR but will he suffer if Romo can't get back to form. Roy Williams to steal targets? The reason I am after this trade is I believe TO will be doubled less which should mean more opportunities. If you watch teh Dallas games you'll notice Romo throws to TO even in double or someimes triple coverage - same with Witten. Now with RW TO Witten and Crayton/MileAustin as teh #3wr along with Barber catching passes as well I believe it will be a situation where defenses just can't afford to try and take TO out of the game. They will have to respect every position. I think this ups TO's numbers the rest of teh way.

Well now that I have ranted on I'd liek to hear anyone else's thoughts? I'd like to get this deal done today as TO and TJ are playing STL and OAK and I doubt I can get this deal done next week.

By the way teh ANalyzer says it will help slightly and to make the deal.

My other RB's and Wr's are Gore/MTurner/Chris Johnson/McGahee and WR BMarshall/PLax/Cotchery/Engram

this is a 10 teamer.

Thanks!

LOVE your takes (especially about Herm)! Your reasoning is very well explained and sound. This deal makes your team's starting lineup stronger without sacrificing bench. Make this deal!

He went with the deal but wanted Dallas clark thrown in. SO overall it was My Plax/LJ/DClark (I have Owen Daniels) for his TO/TJones/DMason (who'll I'll probably never start)...good deal?

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
