Appears to me after watching Chiefs vs Giants last night that Eli did a lot of work in the off season and may be primed for a great season . Looks in total command of the offense and checked off nicely at the line of scrimmage a couple of times . I think that the weapons at his disposal and the return of the O Line intact bodes well for Eli and giants offense this year.
Chiefs fans on the other hand might be concerned with their prospect for this season after watching how ineffective their O Line looked . Green took some big shots in his short stint and vaunted ground game was stuffed . Turley looked liked a shell of his old self and while the weight loss probaly makes him and his back feel better he got dominated at left tackle . This is looking like more than a slight dropoff from last year's O-Line play to me .

Bob- I have said several times, that not having Willie Roaf their is going to be a problem. Other folks disagree, but even when he was not playing having him around for the younger guys to learn from and get insight to whats going on is always helpful.

As for Eli - He's going to be a good fantasy pick, as they will be playing from behind and in more "shoot outs" this year, because that NY defense is nowhere near what its been in the past.

Don't think I agree with assessment of their defense , Jeff . I think they have got stud DE's and their depth at tackle has vastly improved . The linebacker corps is more than a serviceable unit anchored by Pierce . The secondary could be better than last year since they got rid of the stiffs that were manning the corners . They are going to bring a lot of heat on the stationary QBs in their division (Brunell and Bledsoe) because everyone knows exactly where they are going to be and you can't double both Strahan and Umenyiora . That D-Line will take a lot of pressure off that secondary . They will be improved from last year and not in as many shootouts as you think .

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
