I have checked the analyzer every day for the past 3 days to determine who should be my flex and it has changed everyday. I get it that it may change due to updated info. I can't find any info. that changes it, here or espn, or the teams site... My main question is: these are the 4 it is jumping around on, who do I start? Matt Jones, Jerry Porter, Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes

When Doug Gabriel was traded, Jerry Porter was expected to step in as either the starter or slot WR for Oakland. Instead, Art Shell is choosing to play Alvis Whitted as a starter and Ronald Curry in the slot in week one, with Porter as the 4th WR. That brought his value down.

Dominic Rhodes is rumored to be the starter for Indy week one, but the carries and playing time is very hard to project. Addai was ranked higher initially, but now that Rhodes is the likely starter, their stat projections changed a little with Rhodes likely having a little more fantasy worth than Addai in week one depending on scoring system (as Addai is more likely to catch passes).

Not thrilled with any of the options here, and while you could take a chance on Addai (as I do believe that he simply the better RB than Rhodes), the safer play is Matt Jones. Not a great matchup for Jones though. The Jags came out and announced that he, Ernest Wilford and Reggie Williams are all starters, but Jones is the best big play threat the team has at WR. When it comes down to these last positions, I like guys who are big play threats. I'd give Jones the nod.

Jones would be my play as well. To Russ's point I don't like the match-up and think he could struggle against the Cowboy's defense. Big play guy vs. Go to Guy.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
