How do i use the tradeanalyzer to value draft pick trades. 12 team league #4 traded for #9 swapping in rounds 1 & in round 2 picking up #16 2. is swapping in round 4 enough compensation?

The Trade Analyzer works from a Player to Player stand point and does not work for draft picks.
If you would like an opinion on the Trade proposal. If I have this right
Trade 4 for 9, 21 for 16, keeping 3rd's 28, trade 45 for 40-
SO you would have picks
9-16-28-40-52
vs
4-21-28-45-52
My Draft position preference is in the middle 7-9, I know I'm going to get two quality RB's with my first two pick's. So unless your set on L.T, Peyton,or Culpepper I'd be all over this one!

I'd have to get more than just a switch in rounds 2 and 4. With the 4th overall pick you're going to have your choice of LT, Holmes, Alexander or Manning. At the 9th spot, you'll see 6-7 RB's gone and 1-2 QB's or maybe a WR. I think the drop in value is too great from getting one of these elite guys. The difference in value between the guy you'd get at 16 and the guy you'd get at 21 isn't going to offset the difference from #4 to #9. Not even including a swap from 45-40.

I have 3 questions on how to use the trade analyzer.

1. When analyzing a trade for RB for RB, how do I do this?

2. When analyzing a trade for a RB for a WR, how do I do this?

3. Can you analyze a trade such as 2 RBs for 1 WR?

Thanks.

Answers...

- You need to first have your lineup set. You do this in the lineup analyzer tool. Once it is saved, you can use the trade analyzer. In the left hand column you'll see your team pre-trade, on the right hand side, you can set your roster post-trade. you can do this for ANY postition for ANY postion of equal or unequal values.

If you are losing players at a position, simply blankout the slot which holds the player.

Hope this helps.

How do I save my roster in the lineup analyzer? Every time I enter it and leave that page, I have to re-enter it when I return.

To save your roster, enter your roster on the lineup analyzer and run and analysis. On the results page near the bottom you will see a linke to save your roster.

This will store your roster for you next visit and also seeds the trade analyzer.

You'll soon have the option to save up to 3 rosters!
