Grills are heating up and gluttony of food options like burgers, steaks, brats, shrimp, nuts, chips, dips, pizzas, wings, and practically anything consumable is ready for the kickoff later today. Squares have been drawn up and there are even some who indulge in putting together some questionnaire sheets with a few of the obscure proposition bets to be found online. I always find those proposition bets to be the most fun to include at a good party. I was scanning the internet looking for some of them and came across a great list with practically everything you could ask for. Things like the over under on the amount of sacks Robert Mathis will have (0.5), to the longest rushing attempt of Joseph Addai (13.5), to who will have more receiving yards between Devery Henderson and Austin Collie (Henderson is the favorite), there is a bet for everything involved in the game. The winner of the coin toss, whether there will be a touchdown before the first punt, and who the MVP will be, who will make the first reception in the game, etc. All are actual options for those who create a sheet. Now, I am not a betting man, nor do I endorse it. But for those who put them together for fun, there are even more obscure ones and I found some really good ones at nsawins.com (click here to check out the complete list) Here are some of my favorites from their site: Super Bowl XLIV - How Many Times will CBS show Kim Kardashian on TV during the Game? Odds Wager is on the number of times Kim Kardashian will appear on TV during the Game (from kick off until final whistle). Live pictures only, Any Taped Pictures or Past Video does not count towards wager. Person must be in attendance for wager to have action. Over 2½ (-160) Under 2½ (+130) Super Bowl XLIV - How Many Times will CBS show Archie Manning on TV during the Game? Odds Wager is on the number of times Archie Manning will appear on TV during the Game (from kick off until final whistle). Live pictures only, Any Taped Pictures or Past Video does not count towards wager. Over 4½ (-210) Under 4½ (+170) Super Bowl XLIV - If the New Orleans Saints win will Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush be engaged by July 31st 2010? Odds If the New Orleans Saints do not win the game then all wagers have no action. If the Saints win then all wager will have action until July 31st 2010. Yes +135 No -165 Super Bowl XLIV - How Many Times will CBS announcers fully mention Hurricane Katrina during the game? Odds Wager is on the number of times announcers specifically say - Hurricane Katrina - during the Game (from kick off until final whistle). Over 2½ (-220) Under 2½ (+180) Super Bowl XLIV - How many times will Pete Townshend do his legendary windmill move? Odds Windmill move must be a full 360 degree revolution and be shown on TV to be counted for this wager. Pete Townshend windmill moves during halftime show Over Pete Townshend windmill moves during halftime show Under Super Bowl XLIV - How long will it take Carrie Underwood to sing the National Anthem? Odds Clock starts as soon as Underwood sings first Note and Stops when she sings her last note. Over 1 Minute and 42 Seconds -165 Under 1 Minute and 42 Seconds +135 Super Bowl XLIV - What Color will the Gatorade be that is dumped on the Head Coach of the Winning Super Bowl Team? Odds All wagers have action. Lime Green +800 Yellow -110 Orange +500 Red +750 Blue +1200 Clear/Water +190 Super Bowl XLIV - Will they show a replay of Tom Benson celebrating the missed field goal against Tampa Bay from the regular season? Odds Replay must be shown after the kick off and before final whistle for yes to be graded the winner. Yes +225 No -285 Super Bowl XLIV - What color top will Kim Kardashian be wearing at the Super Bowl? Odds Wager is on color of top and not on jacket if seperate top and jacket are shown. If two or more options are combined as the primary color on top then all wagers are no action. Black -190 White +325 Any Other Color +180 Super Bowl XLIV - What will the TV Rating be? Odds Wager is on what the Neilson TV Rating will be for Super Bowl XLIV. Over 42.9 Nielsen Rating -175 Under 42.9 Nielson Rating +145 Super Bowl XLIV - Which CBS Show will get the most Promo’s during the game? Odds For a show to be counted it must appear in a picture box on the screen during the game broadcast only. Undercover Boss -220 CSI +625 CSI Miami +450 NCIS +525 NCIS LA +1200 Big Bang Theory +1500 How I Met Your Mother +900 Two and a Half Men +1500 I include the odds here only to show the favorites and longshots. For those who love to have a little additional fun by including a questionnaire for their guests to fill out, consider these. Just make sure to have a designated record keeper to keep a tally on those that require a count.
