Let's revisit this. Matthews just seems to not be able to stay healthy and got pulled off again this week. Though I think he came back in towards the end, it was a complete dry hump with the way he seemed to be going at the beginning. In addition, it is looking to be more and more of a RBBC in SD now, do you still keep a hold of him in favor of dropping him for Blount?? These are not dynasty leagues, and I have him in both leagues. . .

SD is not the only team going with an RBBC approach to the season. Mathews had a full week of practice, but the fact SD was loosing at half time would make Norv abandon the run for the pass. I still think Mathews will be a good RB in the league. Sproles knows the system out of all the RBs and right now he can do it all. Tolbert continues to get a fair amount of carries and honestly make the most of them...another TD giving him 7 on the season, still second to CJ in TEN. If San Diego continues this 3 head monster approach, I am fine with that. If it puts a 'W' in the win column that is really all that matters. As a fantasy owner, it sucks! Mathews will be a star in this league, but right now with Tolbert (hot) running well and the experienced Sproles, Mathews still has to learn the NFL.

Would I drop him? No, I wouldn't. For Blount? I guess you could make a case for that. Blount had an outstanding Sunday, but as quickly as TB could fall behind Blount won't see many carry opportunities. But if you feel he will gain more points from Week 9 on, then by all means make that transaction. I would not expect Mathews to remain on the wire long.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
