So as the Commish I am doing the end of the season paperwork, figuring out finances, looking over the draft to see who went boom and who went bust when I came across a mistake that literally cost me the season.

I had the #2 selection overall in the draft. At the start of Round 3 I selected Shonn Greene. The next player selected, only the top RB in fantasy football, Arian Foster. I missed out on 261 points, which would have put me in first place (based on total points) for the season.

...in the words of Max Smart, "Missed it by that much..."

Wow...glad my draft was sooner into the preason than after game 4 of the preason as I was able to get Foster in the 7th round with no one saying "Man that was my next pick".
The pick went fairly unnoticed until after week 1 of the season when Foster and CJ combined for (5) TD's and lots of yardage.

Out of curiousity I was trying to find out where I had him on my cheat sheet prior to the start of the draft. Unfortunately I don't have those sheets any longer and I am not able to use the DA to find that information out. Not that is matters much at this point, just found it rather interesting.

Stephen, you may or may not remember how high I was on Foster going into the draft.  I saw what he did during his starts late in 2009, but the kicker was how he ran all over the Cowboys in the preseason game.  At the time, I thought more of the Cowboys to think that Foster was a stud.  However, the Cowboys ended up sucking, but Foster has indeed arrived in Studville!

Lance, you know  I can honestly say I did not pay any attention to the forums before the draft. The first few months went unused and when I did finally get around to my draft prep, I only used the tools to print up cheat sheets and that I ended up doing wrong. LOL. Ah well, still had a great time!

Even better next year.  Are we there yet?  Great, I have a feeling this is going to take a while...

Haha, I am currently working on our playoff league. We draft any 10 players using a draft from the playoff teams. We then play those players until their team is knocked out. The winner is the team who has the most points from wild card weekend through the Superbowl.
