Not sure I need to do this, so I'll get opinions...

Team 2 trade.  He needs a TE badly, do I really need to cover P Manning being out for a long time?

He gets:  Either Finley or Davis (he's asking for Finley) and Benson
I get: Orton and Forte

Thoughts?

BTW, FA possibilities that I think are worth anything are Campbell, Collins, Fitzpatrick, Hasselbeck

I don't think those are bad choices on the wire. Fitzpatrick is my current back up for Manning in my  Yahoo league, which is who I will start for Week 1.

Youa re giving up too much for Orton and Forte in a TE and Benson. I don't suspect Benson has a real strong year, but I think you can get by with Fitz, Collins or Hass off the wire.

I like getting Forte, and Orton is okay. But Freeman doesn't have the bye until week 8 so you really don't NEED the QB yet. Unless you can flex Forte with Charles and Best, I think you have a bigger need for a WR then a RB. I like White and Johnson as starters, and I am very high on Meachem, but if I'm wrong about him you're stuck with Craptree and Roy Williams? Yuck! A stronger WR is needed.

In my opinion, Freeman > Fitzpatrick > Orton
Forte would be a great RB to pick up, especially if you have concerns about Best coming off of his injuries last year and his concussion in the preseason.
Can you play 2 TEs, or did you draft two excellent ones with the intent of trading?  Forte is the type of player you should consider giving up that depth for.  Perhaps you could try one TE + Benson for Forte + a legit top 30 WR.  Then you can cut Roy Williams and pick up Fitzpatrick if you are concerned about depth, but like Russ said there is really no rush to pick up another QB.  Freeman is a legit starter and could even end up as a top 6 option if he builds on what he did last season.

It was an auction league and I won Finley relatively cheap.  Davis didn't get offered until relatively late in the draft and when the bid was so low, I threw in 1$ more and picked him up, figuring I could turn him into something.  I can't play 2 TE together.  I like the idea of trying to get Forte and a top 30.  Not sure he'll bite, but I'll give it a go.
