That's quite the downgrade from the 2000+ combined total and 16-24 TDs that you said you'd be happy with 2 weeks ago though!

"If Best continues at his current pace I will be very happy a combined performance of 130-160 yards 1-2 TDs a week"

Did I say that? Lemme go find it...if I said that exactly it was purely tongue in cheek. Still I feel he could end up double digits on TD

Cody what numbers are you looking at Best to hit? Bushes best year didnt touch 600 rushing yards. So where would you pick one as better? If Best hit 750 rushing ayrds in a year, what is the majic number?

I still believe 130 a week is possible, but I will face the reality that is rushing numbers have been down, at least week 3 was only 14 yards. Again, the past 2 weeks can be accounted for because the Lions were trailing in the game and had to pass in order to win. His receiving numbers have actually been strong, outside yesterday, only 23 yards. Still the bottom line, only 2 TDs and both in week 2. So he isn't score, much like last year. DET needs him to start producing on the ground and finding the end zone. I think 800/800 and 8-9 are still possible.

Bush was on pace for 775 his second season before injury.  Right around where Best will probably end up if he doesn't get hurt.

There's really not a magic number just continuing to observe a comparison I made.  Don't you see pretty similar results to this point?

"The lions look lost without j best, or a run game. The saints look better without Bush...Miami didn't improve with bush.
I would have liked to see best not get injured, he would have put up some nice numbers. At this point I dont know how long the kid can play. But I do see similar results. I still think Best would have been better, but thats opinion.

I see you Cody! Best is just as injury proned as Bush. Let's put Bush in the Lions offense, I think he produces similar #'s as Best! If he stays healthy maybe better #'s. They plugged K.Smith in and he looked great till hurt. If both were given the same offense I think Bush would be the better option!

Not sure how many of you remember this old thread...thought of it recently and how crazy it is that Bush has now replaced Best in Detroit.
