First off, I'm in a keeper league in its second year. †We keep 3 guys at a penalty of 4 rounds every year. †Thanks to Russ and FFS I claimed Jackie Battle AND Ryan Torain off free agency BEFORE they ever touched the ball and now they are potential keepers. †I was in another league a couple years ago and I took Miles Austin in the last round because of something Russ said about him in his blogs. †This year I am in the running for a win at 5-1 and a pretty solid team and I am truly grateful. †Well worth the membership fee and I'm a repeat customer for sure!
Non PPR, 2RB, 10 points/yard, 6 for TD, +3 for 100yds, +2 for 150
1QB,2RB,2WR,1TE,1DST,1K
Starting Mendenhall, and Gore is on bye so I have to choose between Battle and Torain.. Torain has the better matchup against Carolina and I been scoutin him since Denver rookie year and I love his run style but.. Hightower is healthy and although I don't think he will really get much playing time you never know. †I'm leaning towards Battle because he's been on the bench 4 years and he wants to make a name for himself so he's going all out. †He's a big dude and I like his downhill style. †Still, it's Kansas City and who knows how quickly Oakland will run up the score with Palmer behind center. What do you guys think? †i'm 49/51 at this point!
Also, Roddy White or Brandon Marshall? †Thanks in advance!

I certainly like Roddy over Brandon to start with.

I just don't trust "The Rat" Shanny to stay with anyone back and KC's coming off the bye and it's a long time rivarly game. †I personally don't think Carson is going to start (we'll see) but I'm more inclined to start Battle myself.

Good Luck and welcome and yes Russ is the Man!

Thanks Mike. †Also with John Beck behind center for WAS I was thinking Carolina may sell out to the run often. †The only reason I'm even having this battle(pun?) with myself is FFS Lineup Analyzer and FFS power rankings has Torain ranked WAY ahead of Battle! †Not saying I use those tools to make all my decisions but they do influence my decisions a lot. †Think I'm 60/40 Battle now.

Both RBs are high risk in my opinion. As Michael said, who knows what Shanny will do, Torain looked to have a good match up last week and only went 10-22. Battle is untested and unproven in KC, I do like his match up vs OAK, as both teams need the win. Jones and McCluster haven't been the answer in the backfield, which leads me to look at Battle for the start this week.

Roddy White is a must start all the time. Marshall is good and played well on MNF vs Jets, but White has too much talent and still the possibility of Jones being out this week.

Cool thanks Throwball. †i also like Battle's character.†ďIf they need me to get a ton of carries, then Iíll take them, If not, then Iíll give what I can on special teams. My attitude hasnít changed; whatever they need, Iím ready.Ē

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
