Offer: I give up Calvin Johnson WR and Vernon Davis TE
I get Rob Gronkowski TE and Torrey Smith WR
Am I getting a decent deal? I hate to give up Calvin, but Gronk is pretty impressive. What is the long term prognosis on these players?

You almost need to compare Gronk to Johnson and Smith to Davis. In that case, Johnson barely edges out Gronk and Smith barely edges out Davis.

It's almost a wash. I guess at that point it depends on your lineup and how strong you are at WR and TE.

I have Torrey Smith as a 2012 Sleeper at WR.....I would be tempted to do the trade as I don't see Alex Smith utilizing Davis or any 49er WR's to their full potential.

Can you really expect Gronk to have 15 TD's every season with the other weapons in New England, not to mention new ones they'll be adding at WR? I kind of think not. Meanwhile, Calvin has been scratching the surface of his potential the last couple of seasons despite not having Stafford under center. This year Stafford finally manages to stay healthy and what happens? The first of many seasons where I can see Megatron being THE dominant fantasy WR. I'm not saying Gronk won't be great in future years, but I don't know if he'll ever match this season's numbers again. I can see Johnson matching, and maybe bettering this season's numbers in more than one future season.

I wouldn't make this deal. It's tempting, but not enough.
