I think Peterson is a risk, but should be considered as a RB3 for later in the season. He may end up on the PUP to start the season.

Yeah, a move that might payoff later in the season, especially if ADP's stock drops with the opening of training camps. Might be nice to have a horse like this who is "fresh" later in the season.

Barring any setbacks in training camp, I think the Vikings will keep AP on the active roster to start the season, but use him only a little the first couple of weeks as they gauge that knee and how it's holding up. If they can avoid not having him at all for the first 8 games I think they will. But if he suffers any setback in training camp, he'll end up on the PUP list.
