Hi guys! Feels good to be back.

Anyway, last year I made a few trades with future draft picks included. This years draft I am without a 2nd or 3rd round pick, but have 3 5th round picks.

Should I attempt to trade my first round and one of the 5th round picks for a 2nd and 3rd round pick? Another owner offered me this deal. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Welcme back, Charles! Where exactly is your first round pick (and out of how many teams if different than what you have in your signature) and the numbers of the 2nd and 3rd round picks you'd get back? Which 5th rounder would you be giving up?

Any keepers? Or just straight re-draft?

Thanks for the reply!

We don't know where we will be drafting till 5 min before the draft. The defending champion comes up with a way to determine draft order (usually something degrading or embarrassing) and we go with that. So I have no idea which numbers I'd be getting or giving up, other than the round. And total re-draft. No keepers. And it's a 12 team league.

Thanks!

Is this guy likelier to give you a chance for a high first round pick? If not (or if you purposely going to not take part in whatever he comes up with) I'd say make the deal. If you know you're likely to have a pick at the end of round 1, it makes it a lot easier to go after the second and 3rd round picks as you won't get one of the studs with a late first round pick anyway. If you're not going to get a stud, might as well get more of the next tier players you would miss out on not having 2nd or 3rd round picks.

So basically it boils down to pride. Or how much body hair I'm willing to shave off.

I get your rational though.. A late 1st rd pick might as well be a second. And if I can get the third, it's even better. Thanks for putting it into perspective. I'm gonna wait and see the draft order before making a decision.

I appreciate the feedback!

Sounds just like the kind of league I want to avoid. Fantasy football is tough enough without having to grovel for a draft slot, sorry Charles but that is just how I feel. Good luck and hopefully you will not have to be too embarrassed to get a good draft slot.
