Tight ends are gaining value more than ever. I am in an 8 team league so I am looking at upside and value after pick #10. Here are my rankings. .5 ppr.... Please tell me why you disagree.

1. Jimmy Graham

2. Rob Gronkowski

3. Aaron Hernandez

4. Antonio Gates *would be #3 but sits out a few games

5. Vernon Davis

6. Jason Witten

7. Jermichael Finley

8. Fred Davis

9. Brandon Pettigrew

10. Tony Gonzalez

11. Jared Cook

12. Jermaine Gresham

13. Owen Daniels

14. Coby Fleener

15. Brent Celek

16. Dustin Keller

17. Greg Olsen

18. Kellen Winslow

Like your list Rob. If Jeremy Shockey does not re-sign with the Panthers then Olsen becomes a sleeper this year. TE's were targeted 29 percent in the Panther offense last year during passing plays.

If this happens then I would move him up behind Gresham in PPR.

I would not even touch Winslow this season.

In .5 PPR Witten may be more valuable than Davis, but Davis has the higher upside of the two.

Not sold on Jared Cook. Not because he lacks the skills (he has them) but there was a bunch of hype on him last year heading into the season and over 1/3 of his catches and yards (and exactly 1/3 of his 3 total TD's) came in weeks 15 and 16. Otherwise the rest of the season he was a disappointment. I'm not sure the offense is tailored to feature himdespite the fact it should. We'll see if 2012 is different though.

Gonzalez is old, but he still has it. After a down 2010, he came back and posted his best numbers in 2011 since he was in KC. Not as good as his KC days, but 875 yards and 7 TD's are still pretty good starting fantasy TE numbers.

I really like Olsen this year now that Shockey isn't going to be vulturing catches.

Good list overall, and it shows how much quality depth there is at the position after the two elite are gone. But I agree with James about Winslow. If Seattle couldn't get the ball to Zach Miller last year, how will they to creaky-kneed Winslow? And Miller's still there.

I have Cook so high based on him being a backup TE for me (assuming I get a top 8 guy). I am willing to risk a lot with my backup TE. If he busts, there is usually a decent bye week fill in available in FA.

I am hoping to get Vernon Davis, Finley, or Witten. Then Fred Davis, Pettigrew, Cook, or Fleener as my back ups.

TE, what used to be the forgotten position in our league. I gotta think the addition of Brandon Lloyd in NE will hurt Gronky and Hernandez's value this season. Still I keep Gronky ranked #2 behind Graham. I would move Witten and Gates ahead of Hernandez. While Gates is now on the downside of his career he is over the foot problems that has devalued him the past few seasons. He is still the favorite target of Rivers, especially in the red zone.
