This is a PPR keeper league with an auction draft. Standard points for TDs and yards.

You can keep 1 player at last year's draft price plus a 20% surcharge, or not keep anything. I won't bore you with my whole roster, as most I don't want to keep. But, the following are the most tempting (with the cost of keeping):

Rice - $70

Forte - $43

R. Bush - $16.

Eash owner gets $200, minus the cost if you keep a player.

All things equal I'd rather have Rice, but I'm thinking Forte may be better for the money. On the other hand, Bush at $16 might be a steal and I could use the extra money for the draft. And maybe get Rice or Forte for less. Thoughts?

I'll let Forte walk at that price. He gets yards, but has struggled to find the end zone. With Bush there now, I don't see him being worth 1/5 of your total dollars.

Not sure how the money gets spent in your league, but do you think you could get Rice back for less than $70? You know the other owners better than we do and if you think you can at least get a $10 break on his price, I'd take my chances, let him go and keep Bush at a nice price. If you think it likely Rice will be bid up to $65+ I probably would keep him though and let Bush go as Rice is a proven stud RB and that would be market value.

It's all about the market value in Auctions. If you can have a stud for market value, it's worth it. If his price is above market value, start looking for the value elsewhere.

This is a new league (just started last year) and it's only my second time doing auction and keeper, so I don't have a good feel for it. I paid $58 for him last year and AP went for $62, C. Johnson went for $61, and Foster, McCoy, and Brady went for $60. I'm pretty sure I can get Rice for less than $70, so maybe I'll keep Bush and try to get the others for less.

Thanks for responding.

I love Auctions. A lot more strategy to them than standard drafts.

I don't play in an auction style league, but I would keep Rice over Forte.

I ended up keeping Bush at $16. Hope he has another great year.

$16 will prove to be a great value for him if he repeats or betters his 2011 numbers. Good luck!
