I can keep one player in a PPR league. My top choices:

Ryan Matthews - injured and dropped down to the bottom of my keeper list

Andre Johnson - Possible injury prone but good candidate

Matt Forte - Getting dinged up each year and may lose carries to Bush

Phillip Rivers - Didn't show much last year and doesn't look different this year.

Good thing is I have the #1 draft pick this year.

The league's starting lineup looks like this:

1 QB

1 RB

2 WR

1 TE

1 RB/WR flex

1 RB/WR/TE flex

1 DEF

1 K

Right now I'm leaning towards Andre Johnson but Forte isn't far behind.

The starting lineup is as follows:

What round pick would you loose with each player mentioned above?

I would agree that Johnson is injury prone, but would still role with him.

I'd go with Johnson as well. Only thing that hurt Rivers last year was his INT's. Otherwise 4600 yards and 27 TD's were excellent. Not as excellent as the elite QB's, but still pretty darn good.

@ James: I don't lose any rounds. It doesn't matter which player I keep I will still be the #1 draft pick (after the keepers). Each team gets to keep one player.

Thanks for the help guys. It helped me make my decision!

In a league where RBs are at a premium, I go with Forte. He is good out of the backfield for receptions. Mathews with the injury, I won't risk him. I like Rivers, but you should be able to get him or an equal in the draft. Johnson, I still have him high on my list for WRs, regardless of his injury history. He is the main target in HOU but might be a bit of a risk going forward at 31. Still I like him.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
