Call me crazy, but I like him this year. A lot. Things I'm reading seem to indicate he's feeling good and looking good. I'm not worried at all about Hillis stealing carries or a bunch of TDs from him (see Thomas Jones, 2010). I think people are forgetting how good Charles is. You don't average 6.1 YPC over 49 games because of a few lucky ones. The dude is a freak. He's only 25 and more importantly only has 500 career carries. Anyways, I'm targeting him in the 2nd round (16th pick overall) in my 2-QB, PPR league. The 3rd round is probably closer to where he should go, but I want him bad enough to pull the trigger in the 2nd. He could flop. But if he shines....

What do you guys think about him this year?

He's only 25 coming off a devistating knee injury (ACL). I would keep an eye on how he is running and cutting through the preseason. These days the surgery isn't as evasive as it once was, but returning and returning successfully are two different things. I would not mind him as a #2 or high #3, but I doubt he will be around that long in our league.

Charles only in a PPR is a good pick. Since KC intends to go run heavy expect Hillis to to vulture goal line carries most of the time.

If Charles drops to me in the third round of my PPR drafts then I will grab him. Just don't reach to early for him.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
