Hey all,

I had my first draft of the year last night and pulled the first pick (man I hate waiting so long in between my picks!).

Let me know what you all think.

(Standard scoring: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, TE, DEF, K)

1. Arian Foster

2. Jimmy Graham

3. A.J. Green

4. Michael Turner

5. Peyton Manning

6. Percy Harvin

7. Peyton Hillis

8. Denarius Moore

9. Michael Bush

10. C.J. Spiller

11. Justin Blackmon

12. Jets

13. Joe Flacco

14. Garrett Hartley

You know we had an owner draft Greham in the second as well. Not a big fan of a TE going that early. It does look like you can nice with AJ Green. I think you got lucky with Manning in the 5th. That might have saved your draft, Manning didn't make it out of the third in our league. I like Harvin in the 6th though. Overall it looks good for the top spot. What QB could you have taken in the 2nd round?

The QBs available in rounds 2 (pick number 24--twelve team league) were Vick, Eli Manning, Romo, etc. The top 5 were looong gone.

I also guessed Peyton was going to slide. I live in Boston about half the guys wouldn't take him out of principle. :)

Yeah none of those were very exciting to chose from.

You think Hartley is a good pick, not in his draft, I mean overall?

I agree w. TBH, not a big fan of taken a TE in the 2nd rnd.

Coming back from the hip injury he appears to be okay, yet the Saints still took on Kasay, just in case. He is a great option at kicker. I don't think he will have any problems.

I agree with TBH on Hartley.

As for Graham, I think of him as a WR that I get to start at TE. He was fifth in targets among ALL players last year.

Evann, don't get me wrong his stats from last year make a very compelling case to draft, as you did in round 2. Depending on the league, settings and circumstances it could end up being a good move. It's just not a common strategy used, which is why it ends up drawing attention. YOu can't argue with the success from Graham and Gronkowski. But in a league with top RBs are at a premium and big scoring QBs are a must this move seems odd. After you explained it, I do agree with why you drafted him.

I drafted Peyton as my #2 QB (behind Cam Newton) if Peyton is Peyton this year, you have a steal, and I have a great bye week QB or possibly great trade bait!
----
Draft: 3QB's 4RB's 5WR's 3TE's 2K 4DL 5LB 4DB.

Start: 1QB 2RB's 2WR's 1TE 1K 2DL 2LB 2DB.

PPR League: 1PPR, 1 pt 10 yds rush/receive, 1pt 10yds pass, 6 pts TD
