After the draft we are able to expand our roster by 1 player via the Free Agent Wire.

a b

I was looking at RB's. Alfred Morris, Dwyer and Ronnie Brown are a few that are still out there. Brown could help me in a pinch in the first couple of weeks with Mattherws out but Dwyer seems likea more talented player. Thoughts

Mathews will most likely miss week 1 and possibly week 2, which makes Brown valuable for 2 weeks but marginally so after that.

Morris is in Washington and it appears that Helu did enough for the Skins to cut Hightower, leaving Morris, Helu, and Royster. Probably not even Shanny knows who he will start from week to week from those 3.

Dwyer is an interesting situation. Redman hasn't proven that he can get the job done. Mendy is off the PUP list, but not slated to play until week 5 or 6. That leaves Dwyer who is more talented than Redman. He could show enough to keep the job even when Mendy comes back, assuming Mendy will make it back.

Both Brown and Dwyer have potential benefit early in the season. Dwyer to me has higher potential for the season.

I would probably list them Brown, Dwyer and Morris. Along with the uncertainty in PIT, the offensive line has had some problem. It was reported that Dwyer has the ability to be the early down back, but Redman is still in his way. Brown on the other hand is the #1 until Mathews is healthy. Who knows when or if that will be. Norv, though I don't trust a word he says, mentioned 20 carries a game for Brown. I think Morris in WAS is just a healthy fill in until Helu and Royster are good to go.

Rumor now is that the Skins are trying to trade for Slaton. Leave it to Shanny to establish the true definition of RBBC.
