Not for me, that's too high, especially with RBs and QBs that are out there who will score more. I would much rather start my draft with Rice over Megatron.

I can agree with Megatron in the first, but its a bit unconventional to pick him #3, even PPR. With such a deep WR pool this season, drafting him earlier doesn't seem be a winning move. You come back in the next 2 rounds with RBs and it's going to be much thinner than the WRs.

Maybe James or someone else who plays PPR will provide you a different viewpoint. If it was me at #3 I would take whatever RB (McCoy, Rice or Foster) and come back in the second with a WR.

You may not get Rice, I have done 2 drafts and in both the first 3 picks were Foster, Rice then McCoy. Rodgers also wen't 4th in both drafts.

RB's are certainly more reliable than WR's, although Megatron is as reliable as a WR will every get. I would take Rice personally simply because of the number of good RB's available. RB's fall off drastically after the 1st 3 and getting one of the top 3 is golden. AS TB said, there are a lot of excellent WR's this year, who although will not put up the same numbers as Megatron, will be close enough to warrant the Rice selection. No one has a crystal ball and the only advice is from past experience and conventional fantasy wisdom. You are the owner and make the decision. If you feel Megatron is the best fit for you team, do it. At least you will not be muttering, "Why did I listen to those guys?"

As the saying goes, "go with your gut" instead of listening to this bunch justify THEIR pick.
