I just read the notes in the Lineup Analyzer. Dan Grogan is calling Spiller a RB#2. This is simply ridiculous. I'm sure most of you guys saw Spiller blow up with fantastic production down the stretch last season when Jackson went down. He was producing at a top 5 RB level in a standard scoring league. Last week he picked up where he left off.

Dan, I think you need to take another look at Spiller's potential as a lead back with no time share for the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Spiller is the ultimate handcuff and I'm happy to ride this horse for a month or two.

Cheers,

Steve

Maybe a low 1, but a high 2. Depending on the defense they are playing I could agree with Dan. I also know I am not going to get too excited over 1 big game for Spiller. Yes, I understand he is a dynamic RB and has big play possibility every time he touches the football. I won't expect him to post top RB numbers on a regular basis though. He has KC, CLE, NE and SF in the next 4 weeks. He also had...what 3 runs of 30 yards in the game last Sunday. So I will tailor my expectations just a bit on him.

He will run all over KC and Cleveland though.

Does it matter whether someone classifies him as a wr1 or wr2? After the game, they don't give points for how you were classified, they just add up points based on your performance.

My point is he is dead wrong. Throwball did you not pay attention to Spiller's perfonces last year? He was a top 5 RB when Jackson was out. Why would you presume that I am basing my analysis on 1 game. Read what I wrote. In order to be a RB1 Spiller will have to average top 10 or 12 #s on a weekly basis. He will do so, and therefore he is a RB1. Name 10 or 12 RBs who will post a better weekly average and let's see if you are right.

I dunno Steve, I am looking at his 2011 game logs and outside of an 111 yard game and a 81 yard games both games included TDs, last Sunday's performance was the best in his career, in terms of yardage and YPC (12.1).

No one is wrong, it's just differing opinions. I also take a bit of what O1P interjected, what does it matter, 1 vs 2? He is a starter for the next 6-8 weeks. He now has am opportunity to shine and post some good numbers. I believe this sort of game is the exception, not the standard. These days with fewer and fewer backfield with one RB, Spiller is a nice option at RB right now.

I see the point Steve and would have to agree.

Last 4 games(with now FJax):
167 total yards; 2 TDs
138 total yards; 1 TD
100 total yards; 1 TD
194 total yards; 1 TD

That's an average of 150 total yards per game and a score over his last 4 games. That's definitely RB1 numbers.

Sorry Steve you know I looked only at rushing yardage and failed to add in the receiving data. In that case yeah void what I said I agree with you and Cody he is worth of a RB1.
