Week 1 certainly had its fair share of surprises. While I went a decent 10-6, I need to average closer to 11 right every week to get to the goal of 180 (70%) by season's end. There are a few games I'm on the fence about this week. I'm only taking Green Bay because they're at home. I won’t be surprised if Chicago wins. And possibly win big. Buffalo/KC is a tossup, as is Minnesota at Indy. Oakland as road team historically struggles travelling to the east coast, but Miami looked pitiful week 1. I could into more detail but time is limited when you wear many hats. So without further ado, here are my NFL game predictions for week 2:

Green Bay 27, Chicago 24
New England 41, Arizona 24
Baltimore 28, Philadelphia 20
Houston 34, Jacksonville 16
Buffalo 20, Kansas City 17
Minnesota 24, Indianapolis 23
New Orleans 27, Carolina 21
Oakland 23, Miami 14
NY Giants 27, Tampa Bay 17
Dallas 23, Seattle 20

Cincinnati 27, Cleveland 13
Washington 24, St. Louis 16
Pittsburgh 24, NY Jets 20
San Diego 24, Tennessee 17
San Francisco 27, Detroit 23
Atlanta 33, Denver 27

There you have it: my week 2 NFL game predictions.

Detroit made it look a lot more difficult than it should have been in week 1, but they eventually (thanks in no small part to some questionable officiating; notice to the NFL: PAY THE REAL REFS. This ridiculous debacle has gone on long enough) came out on top against the Rams. That squeaker sets me at 1-0 in my Survivor Pool Locks of the Week. I'll try to pick a game this week with far less chances of being that close a call. And since this is a survivor pool, I will not choose a team twice this season as my lock.

Here are the weekly results after 1 game:

Week 1 (W; 27-23) Detroit over St. Louis

With that in mind, historically, the Arizona Cardinals have struggled when travelling to the east coast. And it's even worse when they have to travel to perennial AFC powerhouse New England. While I'm hopeful Kevin Kolb performs well, I just can't see the Patriots losing this game. The Cardinals may make it interesting for a while, but sometimes even the best teams have a hard time trading punches with the Patriots.

My Survivor Pool Lock for Week 2: New England over Arizona.

It wasn't before. I had to go back and modify it so Cinci/Cleveland was included. Whenever I make a msitake like that, I'm glad there are sharp people who can point it out as I am just jumping form one thing to another all the time.

“I am advancing to the championship game in both of my leagues and I believe a lot of the credit goes to those of you in this forum and the many tools that we have access to”. (Ron 3 year member)

“This site greatly helped me make it through this year in both my leagues and all the great help from other members thanks very much fellas!” (Courtney first year member)

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
