Interesting situation. Hunter has value only if Gore is injured, while Powell most likely will replace an ineffective Greene before the year is out. The decision is how likely is Gore to be injured and how likley will the Jets finally give up on Greene. My opinion is that the Jets will definitely give up on Greene and Gore is only likely to be injured, so I would keep Powell.

I'd hold onto Powell. He has a chance to become the Jets feature RB with Shonn Greene stinking it up more weeks than not. Hunter needs a Gore injury to become a starter and soon Brandon Jacobs will be back to eat into time as well.

Just heard a NY reporter on Phx's KDUS AM, and she said the same thing: Powell to get more and more touches as the year goes along.

If Greene cannot break out of his situation.

...and since the Jets move Joe McKnight to cornerback, not sure how much he will be involved in the offense, although he isn't happy with the position move.
