Just a reminder for everyone that this year I am posting the FP/PG defensive run and and receive rankings each week. You can access them thru the Articles section, or via the link on the homepage in the "Featured Articles" scroll on the left side.

For those of you who are new to STARTERS, this is the formula I have used for over a decade on my radio show for helping callers determine the strength of matchups for their players each week. It is a generic formula and many of our long time members here at STARTERS have developed their own templates specific to their scoring systems to get more accurate rankings.

One other thing you'll notice is that I use the receiving yards allowed by a defense instead of the passing yards allowed. The reason for this is that receiving defense is the actual amount of total yards allowed thru the air. Passing defense takes that number and subtracts out the sack yardage a defense has gotten on opposing QB's. Since 99.9% of leagues out there don't subtract the sack yardage from a QB's passing yardage total for determining fantasy points, receiving yardage is a more accurate stat to use.

Here's the link to the direct page for Fantasy Points Allowed per Game showing the rankings, and fantasy points allowed by all 32 NFL defenses against both the run and the pass.

Always good to see. I like using this as a tiebreaker if I am close on couple starters. Begginning of the season I don't give it much weight though, until teams settle in. I pay more attention to it after say 5-6 games.

“I am advancing to the championship game in both of my leagues and I believe a lot of the credit goes to those of you in this forum and the many tools that we have access to”. (Ron 3 year member)

“This site greatly helped me make it through this year in both my leagues and all the great help from other members thanks very much fellas!” (Courtney first year member)

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
