As much as week 2 was bad for me going 9-7, week 3 was even worse as I finished a pitiful 7-9. While I can place blame on one loss on replacement refs who can't tell an interception from dual possession, that wouldn't make much difference. I am now a very weak 26-22 on the 2012 season and need to get this corrected pronto.

So with that in mind here are my NFL game predictions for week 4:

Baltimore 27, Cleveland 10

Atlanta 31, Carolina 20

Detroit 35, Minnesota 31

New England 37, Buffalo 24

Kansas City 20, San Diego 17

St. Louis 17, Seattle 16

San Francisco 23, NY Jets 20

Houston 38, Tennessee 17

Cincinnati 24, Jacksonville 21

Arizona 27, Miami 19

Denver 27, Oakland 23

Green Bay 41, New Orleans 31

Washington 23, Tampa Bay 21

NY Giants 30, Philadelphia 23

Dallas 24, Chicago 17

There you have it: my week 4 NFL game predictions. Hopefully this proves to be my best week yet as I need it!

I'm changing the name "Lock of the Week" to "Death Knell Pick of the Week". Don't think I've ever been 1-2 in the Survivor Pool picks after 3 weeks and after watching the Saints allow the Chiefs back into that game week and eventually win it, I am starting to believe I have no shot of hitting on a game this season. I'm going against one of my usual rules when it comes to my Death Knell Pick of the Week. Usually the rules are: stay away from division games, avoid road teams, and take the strongest game each week of those left. This week, I'm taking a division game.

Here are the games I've taken so far:

Week 1 (W; 27-23) Detroit over St. Louis

Week 2 (L; 18-20) New England over Arizona

Week 3 (L; 24-27) New Orleans over Kansas City

As usual, I will not pick a team I have already chosen in a prior week.

This week I'm going with an undefeated team. The Houston Texans are legitimate Super Bowl contenders this season while the Tennessee Titans needed gimmicks to put down Detroit at home last week and still almost lost that game. Gimmicks won't work against the Texans, and this game shouldn't be close by mid-way thru the 3rd quarter.

My Death Knell of the Week says the bell is ringing for the Houston Texans over the Tennessee Titans.

(And for those who don't understand the references, my Survivor Pool Lock for week 4 is Houston over Tennessee)

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
