Hearing McKnight is moved to cornerback and with Greene not performing (but still getting a vote of confidence), is Powell worth a spot on my roster hoping he passes Greene for touches? Thinking Crabtree would be the drop candidate.

Not unhappy with my RB's but as always looking to the future (does Spiller end up in RBBC or worse and will D-Will be a viable fill-in with Stewart coming back?). WR's are the weak spot with Colston hurting and Rodgers/Brees not clicking - but would I ever start Crabtree or just find a waiver WR pickup?

Powell might be. As I posted yesterday I also keep an eye on Jonathan Grimes. He was undrafted and signed with HOU, but with their depth at RB found his way to NY. He put up some nice preseason numbers and with McKnight moving to the defensive side of the ball could give Grimes a shot to play later this year.

Some are still high on Crabtree, I am not one of those as SF only passes when they need to, they do it with defense and the run game, thus he reason Smith will never be a good fantasy QB. If you want to add depth and speculate on Powell it's worth a shot, but with Colston a bit dinged it might be cause for concern. Realistically I would look at dropping the 3rd QB in Sanchez. When you only need 1 starters I don't think holding 3 is worth it. Now if you are in a 2 QB league, then sure 3 QBs on a roster is common.

WR's do have me concerned with Colston's foot and Rodgers/Nelson not clicking yet. Good to know about Grimes - hadn't read that post (yet). So it could be a guessing game and end up holding the wrong one! So maybe best to focus on a waiver wire but slim pickings: Roberts (Ari), J. Jones (Balt), Shorts (Jax), Avery/Hilton (Indy), Bess/Hartline (Mia), Kerley (NYJ). We do get 1pt/25 return yds & 6pts/td so helps Kerley, Jones & Hilton's value some.

I changed my signature so it stands out better. In essence we do start 2 QB's - we can use a QB for our flex (been starting Brees & Flacco so far with good success). I keep a third QB for bye weeks and in case of injury (Brees ankle is hurting some). With very limited choices left on waivers, I've resisted the temptation to drop Sanchez to free up a spot.

Thanks for the input!

Yeah CB, I too am worried about Colston's foot and have been looking at the wire or packaging him with Brees in a deal for a RB/WR. Looking at the names you tossed out, nont of them really get me excited. Tannehill hasn't been bad for MIA as Hartline seems to be his favorite WR right now. Avery and Hilton have both looked good in spurts. I think the best option is to ride it out with Colston, he has been known to start slow, hopefully the foot doesn't become a bigger issue. I do agree sitting on Sanchez until you really need to drop him.

Thanks TBH - don't seem to hear a lot about his foot until recent but sure seems to be affecting him. Bright side is he's had some opportunities to score and just missed so holding out hope for him & the Saints!

Yeah, nothing real special out there though Crabtree seems expendable for a flyer. Hilton or Hartline might be worth it though as you said, Hilton's not consistent and need Luck to keep playing well (or better). Plus not real impressed with Hartline but guess that reflects more on poor QB performances (and Marshall being the WR1)...

Maybe not a poor QB, but inexperienced. I think he will have good games and bad games, but learning on the job. Bess and Hartline will see fair numbers, but neither are too exciting I agree.

True - I'd shortened what I meant when writing...poor before this year, young and as you said, inexperienced. Possibly with more time, later this year one or the other WR will be more viable. Not seeing anyone really standing out, think will be happy with what I've got for now. Was looking now to get a jump before waivers go into effect (normally anyone worth a shot is gone before my turn on waivers).

Argghhh...oh well, it's only one game but still - 245 yards and a TD for Hartline so far. Does look like some good chemistry growing between Hartline and Tannehill. I sure won't be able to drop Crabtree for him now, lol! He should be this weeks hot pickup, I'd figure.

Well, maybe I should have (lol, hindsight is great!) taken a flyer on Hartline. Don't see a repeat of yesterday but chemistry seems good between Tannehill and Hartline (toss Bess in there too). Looks like he'll be the "hot" pickup for the week so will miss out on him. So still hunting for someone that can at least provide better depth than Crabtree. Maybe my bigger worry is my RB's - what was up with Martin this week? Hopefully TB was just trying a change of pace with Blount?

I am glad to see Colston seeming to be back on track - sat him but VJax held his own! Hopefully his foot isn't as big of a deal as I'd started thinking.

Colston looked like he moved OK. Planter Fascitus is a funny thing and can be very difficult or just an irritant. Looks like Colston's is more in the later area.
