I have McFadden, and the three Det players on bye and Moore now hurt... I give up Mathews, pettigrew and Simpson for mendenhall and AJ green....?

You are giving up a lot for AJ. You can start a pretty good team this week with your current roster. Mendy hasn't played a down and who knows what he will do, so the trade is AJ for the other 3. I would make the trade if you could get a better rb than Mendy. You don't need Pettigrew except during a bye week and will probably not start Simpson, especially if you get AJ. It would leave you with a roster spot to fill from the FA pool, so I usually use that in my decision process.
