I have been offered a straight-up swap of Fred Jackson for Bowe or Harvin? They have also offered D. Martin (TB) or McGahee (Den). I will be in need of a RB next week. Is this a trade I should consider?

Would McGahee be the better option? His schedule seems to be the most attractive.

I prefer Harvin, so Bowe is the wr to trade. Martin or McGahee would be my choice and I lean slightly to McGahee since it looks like Blount may get the goal line duty in Tampa, but couldn't fault you for taking the younger and less injured Martin. FJax looks to be a time share with Spiller making them both rb2 or flex plays. I might try to shop Bowe and see if you get a better offer. This improves your team and your wr's, barring injury, can absorb the loss of Bowe.

Should also have said that I would not make the trade for FJax.

I always tend to look at schedules and although Bowe has Cassel throwing to him, Harvin, to me, has the harder schedule playing Chicago and Houston during the playoffs vs Bowe who plays CLE, CAR, OAK and IND in December. Should I not be looking that far down the road?

Schedules are important where a wr might be playing a Was or Oak, but I don't use them unless the match up is significant better than avg. I usually just take the better player. You can run the draft analyzer using weeks 5 - 16 (or your ending week) and it will provide the matchup data, etc. I usually do that when analyzing a multiple options instead of using the trade analyzer. Just seems easier to me.
