Week 5 wasn't bad. I went 10-4 on my picks and my lock of the week just pummeled their opponent worse than I imagined. That puts me at an improving 47-30 on the season and hopefully this trend holds up. I have a funny feeling though this week may not be so kind. There are a couple of games I am wary of, but you have to pick a side when making predictions, so Ill either be a genius, or an idiot. The truth is clearly somewhere in between.

That in mind, here are my week 6 NFL game predictions:

Pittsburgh 20, Tennessee 16
Cincinnati 23, Cleveland 20
Baltimore 27, Dallas 21
Detroit 27, Philadelphia 24
Indianapolis 20, NY Jets 17
Tampa Bay 26, Kansas City 21
Atlanta 38, Oakland 17
Miami 14, St. Louis 9
Arizona 31, Buffalo 21
New England 21, Seattle 14
Washington 23, Minnesota 20
San Francisco 27, NY Giants 24
Houston 34, Green Bay 28
Denver 28, San Diego 20

There you have it: my week 6 NFL Game Predictions.

Last week in the lock of the week I took San Francisco over Buffalo and it was a beating beyond even what I imagined. That makes me a still wiped out in all suicide pools 3-2 on the season. Here are the weekly picks and results:

Week 1 (W; 27-23) Detroit over St. Louis
Week 2 (L; 18-20) New England over Arizona
Week 3 (L; 24-27) New Orleans over Kansas City
Week 4 (W; 38-14) Houston over Tennessee
Week 5 (W; 45-3) San Francisco over Buffalo

You know, this is one of those weeks where I'm tempted to play a hunch and take a weaker team (Miami) and save a better team (Atlanta) for another week, but I just can't do that with a "lock". There's just no reason to think the Raiders stand any chance against the Falcons in Atlanta this week. If the game was in Oakland I might think this a potential trap game for the Falcons, but it isn't. The only thing that concerns me is that sometimes teams can come out of their bye week refreshed and ready to pull off a road upset. But I just don't see it.

My Survivor Pool Lock for Week 6 is: the Atlanta Falcons over the Oakland Raiders

Russ, I'm about to take away your Ram card.

I know they havent won in Miami since 1976 but I dont see how Tannehill works this Ram secondary enough to win....especially under the pressure he's going to be under. Its time to start believing. Rams 20, Dolphins 13. and that is my survivor lock of the week.

Mas, I hope I'm wrong but our team usually plays to the level of their competition on the road. After a big divisional win last week, I can just all too easily see them being flat this week.

BTW, you catch the Football Life on the Fearsome Foursome? OUTSTANDING!

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
