I created a spreadsheet last night. I take my players' average points per week, the average points given up by their previous opponents (rushing or passing) and then compare that number with their next opponent.

Example: Doug Martin is averaging 11.0 pts/game. The previous four rush defenses he's faced have given up an average of 14.85 pts/game on the ground and his next opponents is giving up an average of 16.9 pts/game. 11 / 14.85 * 16.9 = 12.5 week 6 projection.

I ran this formula for my roster and my projected projected score this week is 140.1. The projected score from the Lineup Analyzer is 141.2.

Moral: I either need to go into business or save myself several hours and just go with your projections

Do what works for you. I find myself asking more questions than going by the LUA. The LUA gives me a starting point, but by no means do I agree with it every week. That is not an indication that I don't trust the LUA, but feel there are times I would rather play a different player for other reasons or a condition the LUA can't take into account.

Hey Stephen, the LUA takes everything into account. It even knows what color underwear the player is wearing.

So how many FF points have the Bills given on the ground these last few weeks? Does that make William Powell a double digit scorer in week six?
One thing about numbers they cannot account for are the emotions, motivational factors how does a player, a team respond. Colts v. G.B. Is a recent example as are the Bill's having been trounced and embarrassed they cannot and should not allow themselves to be subjected to that type of abuse again? UoP is a tough playground if the Bills lose like that in Glendale Sunday?

MY pre-season projections had the Bills winning this game with an aerial assault, but it also had the Cardinals being blown out in New England in week 2. So Iets hope I am wrong again. Iím still going to roll the die and start William Powell over BenJarvus Green-Ellis. and C.J Spiller WISH ME LUCK

So the LUA is .1 points better than you. Guess you should just start trusting it....
