We had a similar situation in a league last year. The guy had Rodgers and drafted Cam late in the round. When Cam started producing, he had several offers including one from me of good quality RB1's or WR1's for Cam and he wanted multiple players. No one traded with him and he missed the playoffs.

Look at the delta between the top qb's and the 10th qb, in my league it is about 5-7 points a week and often less. Now look at the delta between a top RB and WR and the 20th rb and wr (since you start 2 of each usually minimum. A lot larger delta in my league, maybe as much as 10-15 points x 2 = 20 + points easy a week.

I understand you're saying it's too much for RG3. I tend to agree. But I was trying to reiterate it's not just RG3- I'm also getting Leshoure (or could probably get Spiller intead). Regardless, I still think it's too much to give up. So I agree with you.

However, one point that can't be ignored is that Mcgahee is my 4th running back and I can only play 2/week.

I'm guessing you would agree that trading Harvin and Mcgahee for Drew Brees makes a lot more sense.

No I do not agree that a top 10 qb is worth a rb1 and a wr1. Just my opinion. If a qb hs that value, they would all go in the first round of the drafts. I would much rathr have strong rb's 1st and strong wr's next, since the delta between a great qb and an avg qb is less than the other positions. I can't remember the last time a team with the number 1 qb won the title in our league.

Having said all this, I respect that it is your team and you shoud do what YOU feel is best for your team. I agree that you can't count bench points, but bench strength in csse of injury is vital to your success.

I wan't considering Mcgahee as a rb1. I was thinking mid rb2. I think that's where we differ. Also, a top 10 QB implies he's the 10th best. Are you saying there are 9 other QB's you think are better than Drew Brees?

Only1, in this context its not too much, since what he is giving he will never really use. He has better in his starting line up and still after the trade has enough depth.

Upgrade that starting line up! I love the way your thinking.
