Yea Raiders!!! Well I tell you what James. Anybody I pay money to better have a good track record or I will go to another service. That's why I pay money...cuz I'm not real bright at this. There are plenty of services that want my money out there. What's the point of the analyzer if it's not right?

You can look at any sites weekly rankings and come Sunday Night get a great laugh out of their rankings and what the real results were.

I played Dez Bryant because every site I looked at had him ranked higher than Randal Cobb. If I start Cobb and his 23+ points I win this week.

Every site said to start Ray Rice over the likes of Vick Ballard of the Colts. Ballard scored about twice as many points.

Every site does their best based on trends, analysis, etc. The best thing I can recommend is also posting your questions/line up and asking for feedback. Many people post in here questions stating "the LA is saying this but I feel this way...what do you think?"

Before you end your night seriously for fun check out other sites rankings and their articles:"Start/Don't Start Suggestions". For example, some said " Don't Like" Frank Gore on Thursday Night and I understand why as Seattle has one heck of a defense....what did he do? (182) all purpose yards or some 18+ fantasy points.

If a website's software or analyst could get it right 100% of the time don't you think they would be going to Vegas and making bank rather than running a website?

I know nothing is 100%

I also know that there are knowledgable people here in the forums. Ask your lineup or trade questions in the forums. They may give you excellant advice or may get it wrong. Either way at the end it is you who pust that final lineup in. It is you who after it is all said and done is responsible for your fantasy team. Just one more thing, it's only a game. It's suppoesed to be for fun. If you aren't having fun then don't play.

Erick is dead on here. 100 percent right. Most of fantasy football is luck and preparation, you just try and put yourself in the best position to win.

For instance, do you know that Eli almost never plays well against the Redskins? Yet, the Redskin pass defense is right at the bottom.

If Frank would have asked that question, I would have told him that on the forum.

Frank, I actually take the opinions of the forum goers over the LUA more often than not. As was expressed it is just a tool that may or may not be right from week to week. I use it as such. It gives me an idea based on the math who could be a potentially good start. I already know who I want to to start, but if I can find a compelling reason to change my starters, I will. Usually it won't be just because of the LUA says differently.

Thankfully I have time to prepare all week for picking and starting players. Some people don't, I understand that but still I would not bash a tool as not working since it won't take into some external factors into consideration.

Good luck in the coming weeks, hopefully you do better with the LUA and maybe we will see you around on the discussion board.

Lol! Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the LUA is off then the Power rankings will also be off; seeing as they are one and the same score. The Power rankings show all player's predicted fp's while the LUA only shows those on one's team!

Personally I don't blame a bad decision on a tool, a prognosticator's projections, or other's opinions - it's ultimately my choice. For better or worse I have only one to point the finger at and that's the one looking back in my mirror, lol.

Hmmm...I am worried now though. Will FFS be sued over this and the website have to shut down? In hindsight, maybe there should have been a disclaimer each member signs when joining this site?! Lol!

I like the stock comparison and think it is appropriate here. I've learned over the years that the Analyzer's sometimes are spot on, and sometimes they're not. But over the course of a season, the system seems to come out right more often and if you liken that to stocks on a graph, it's a line that has some ups and downs, but steadily increases through the course of a season.

This is my 8th year using this site and while I don't win every week, or every year, I've won a few championships in that time and I give at least some of the credit to the tools here. I think sometimes it seems to weigh too heavily the matchups (like Darren McFadden and Stevan Ridley this week) but by doing that it also correctly identified Doug Martin and Alfred Morris as better plays than Ray Rice.

This is no knock on the analyzers, but I have not used them in 3yrs. For myself, I have found all the tools I need right here on the forum!

I also find the Friday 1PM MST Chat Room kinda' cool. You get a lot of different suggestions, and it's fun.

This week, the TA said I would lose by 30 pts, but advice here got me to pick up the MIN D and Dwyer, plus it said to play Bradshaw, FJax and I won by 18.

But there are more times in the past few years when it has been spot on. But for me in a small cash league, it is just fun to monitor the forum, and then see what happens for the games.

good luck.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
