I was offered a trade today, that I think improves my starting lineup. I was offered Calvin Johnson, Joe Flacco and DeAngelo Williams (don't laugh) for Larry Fitzgerald, Ben Roethlesberger and Mikel Leshoure. I don't need Big Ben or LeShoure so this comes down to Megatron for Fitz in my mind. Sure I lose some depth, but can I pass up getting Calvin Johnson?

I am in a 10-team PPR where we start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, K, D and Flex and Current Roster is:

QB:Ryan, Roethlesberger

RB: CJohnson, Charles, Bush, LeShoure, Alex Green and Hillis

WR: Harvin, Wayne, Fitzgerald, Britt

TE: Gates

Since the only starter involved in the trade is Megatron for Fitz, I like this deal. You'll not start Flacco or Roethlisberger over Ryan and DW is now in the doghouse for the Panthers, but LeShoure wasn't cracking the lineup often for you either.

Thanks Russ! This trade is good for both sides I think as it's with the last place team who will prbably start all three of those players.

Just another opinion, but I do not like the trade. Megatron is not putting up the huge numbers everyone expects and should Ryan go down, do you really want to go with the 20th ranked passer in the NFL in Flacco over the 5th ranked in Roethlisberger?

If I were making this trade, I'd leave Roethlisberger out of it.

great point! He really wanted/needed Roethlesberger. I took the trade and already dropped DeAngelo Williams for Josh Freeman as insurance. Still not Big Ben, but that offense is clicking and opening it up lately. Decent second half schedule too.

I think you made out fine. It is always tough to get an upgrade at the top of the charts, but C Johnson for Fitz is clearly an upgrade and you gave up back ups to do it. I think C Johnson will come around and you will be happy.
