Week 8 is in the books and while the competition was fierce, we have a new weekly high score to congratulate. Without ado, congratulations go out to Fantasy Football Starters NFL/Fantasy Analyst Russ Bliss (Hey! That's me!) and his (my) team Chaos Inc. for having the top score in week 8 with 225.75 points.

Blind squirrel…nut…forest; you know the story.

On the overall season standings, Graham and his team THE HAGGIS BASHERS continues to stand atop the rankings. It's the third week in a row Graham has been in the top spot, but there are some hard charging teams right behind him and with 9 weeks remaining, it's anyone's spot to claim as it only takes one or two poor weeks to really slip in the standings.

Remember, we play each week and at the end of the season, the member with the highest overall point total will have $1,000.00 donated in their name to the Kids Play It Smart children's charity. The winner also receives a free lifetime membership to STARTERS. So keep playing!

And even if you haven't taken part in the Lineup Contest yet this season, we encourage you to play for the simple fun of bragging rights each week and enjoy getting to know other members of our community here on the STARTERS Forums.

Week 9 Lineup Contest rosters will lock Thursday, November 1st at 8:10pm Eastern/5:10pm Pacific time, so get your roster in before then.

Your week 9 STARTERS Guest Expert is Fantasy Football Analyst, Dan Grogan.

“I am advancing to the championship game in both of my leagues and I believe a lot of the credit goes to those of you in this forum and the many tools that we have access to”. (Ron 3 year member)

“This site greatly helped me make it through this year in both my leagues and all the great help from other members thanks very much fellas!” (Courtney first year member)

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
