I like manning. I know what I can expect from him with a LONG track record. I shoot for stability.

RGIII came back down to Earth last week and I expect it to happen more and more. Manning has been playing great and putting up numbers so I say Manning as well.

Manning without a doubt, consistency is what you want in fantasy. Plus RG3 is gonna hit that rookie wall soon, he's not use to playing this many games.

Damn internet connection. I had a whole thing typed up, hit sumit, and TIMEOUT on the connection. Damn...

What I think I said before. I current to read/hear how RGIII is going to hit this rookie wall. Cam did not hit that wall last year like most where saying he would. That is another topic for another post.

If I look at the stats for this year. RGIII is ahead of Manning. By 5 spots with 197.5 to Manning's 170.75. In fact, RGIII is less than 4 pts away fm Rodgers who is in the lead. That is good difference between them when looking at stats. Lets face it, stats is what FF is really made from. Not performance on the field or how a player is performing on the field.

After last week play againist my beloved Steelers, The Steeler Def did not let another rookie beat them. First bad game by RGIII. That hit by Clark! That was a bad choice to throw the ball to an unopen man vs. Def play. If the ball is thrown away, he never gets hit.

So, lets look at Manning so far. Did not start out great, still needed to get more playing time. Balls did not look right, timing w the WRs was not there. It appears to be there now after the last game we all saw. Decker finally played a BIG role in the win and is why I lost last week.

I don't what to think about the rest of the season. We have 5 to 6 weeks left before playoffs. I should make the playoffs in this league. I'm sitting at 4th and play the top 3 team in the coming weeks. The other games are with the lower 3 teams who are clearly out of it. 0-8, 1-7, 2-6. I can break even with W/L and still make the playoff.

So now what? I see it coming down to a coin flip for week 9. I not buying the rookie thing w RGIII. I just don't see it happening. QB is much different than in the past. QBs are coming into the NFL with lots more expereince and college prep at the college QB level. Look at the rookie QBs this year. We saw 5 or 6 rookie QB starts and still continue to see most of those QBs playing at a high level today. It much different today and in the future. I can't really explain it in words, there is something much different about RGIII this year vs. Cam last year.

Thoughts?

ps. excuse my spelling, still waiting on that edit button....... Even make this window bigger would help.

RGIII can do one thing that Peyton cannot and that is run. In addition, the Denver D is much better than the Redskins D, meaning that RGIII will always need to throw to play catchup.
This week could be the Cam and RGIII show, as both try to show the other that they are better. Peyton is the safer play, but RGIII has a much higher upside, since the Denver D may control the game.

Thanks, that makes my choice easier! LOL

I did not think about looking at the Def this week. Car or Cin, who has the better numbers againist the run and pass. Must take a look. Stats is too close to call.
