I traded recently traded Stevan Ridley, and Andy Dalton for Reggie Bush. I'm in a 14 team league, and Ridley was being used as my flex with D. Martin and McGahee as my starting RBs. I have Cam as my starting QB so I didn't see a need to keep Dalton and decided to take a gamble on Reggie Bush returning to form as he was the end of last year. Thoughts on this? Good or bad move?

Reggie has a good schedule for the last 2 weeks, but ridley is on a much better team and has performed well in spite of Billy and his antics. I probably would not have made the trade, however, if you can fill the roster spot with a Shorts or Young, then that makes it much better in my opinion.

My team consists of:

QB-Cam

WR: Megatron, Dem Thomas, D. Moore, R. Cobb

RB: Martin, McGahee, Hillman

TE: T. Gonzo, D. Clark

K: J. Tucker

D: Denver, Miami

Keep in mind this is a 14 team league so teams aren't very deep.

Just a note on trading, when I am giving 2 players to get one, I usually ask the receiving team to include the player they plan on dropping so that they can add the 2nd player in the trade. If it is trash, then you can drop them. If has some value as bench depth, then you don't have to fight for them on the ww. Never had anyone turn me down on the request.

I'm in first place right now, so I've got a pretty good shot at going all the way. Also, another reason why I was taking a risk to see if Reggie will go off at the end of the season like he did last year. He was one of the main reason the guy who won took the championship. The Patriots running game scares me. They just share the ball soo much. Between Ridley, Vereen, Woodhead, and now Bolden when he comes back.

Yeah, hindset I wish I would have done that. They guy he was dropping is Jake Locker.. Do you think he has a potential to return to from when he gets back? Also, what do you think of these QBs currently on the waiver wire: Weeden, Locker, Ponder, Bradford, Tannehill.. I could probably get trade Cobb or Moore for Freeman but I don't know if I want to give up that depth..

I agree with everything you said. The fish do seem to recognize that Thomas must be involved to keep Reggie fresh and have given him more touches since he is healthy. My biggest concern with Ridley is that he lays one on the ground in a critical situation. He seems to always be the primary no matter who the others are. I can't see NE having Ridley, Vereen, Bolden, and Woodhead all active everyweek. And you know that Ridley and Woodhead are going to be active.

I trade raped my friend earlier in the season when I traded him L. Blount for Denarious Moore. I think I could talk him in to trading J. Freeman for Cobb I just don't know if I want to give him up. I just don't see myself playing him over Bush or Moore in my flex unless someone gets injured.

Also, I may be able to swing this deal (Cam-Megatron) for (RGII-AJ Green). It's just hard to tell whether Cam and Calvin will bounce back or not. They were my top 2 picks and have been my most underperformed players. Yet, somehow, I'm still in first. lol

Many people, myself included, drop the back up qb near the end of the season to pick up depth at rb and wr positions. Usually injuries occur to the position players, not qb's and that provides the depth. I would not trade Cobb for a backup qb even though the qb's on your ww are matchup plays.

Trading Cam/Megatron for RGIII/AJ is interesting. I'm concerned that Megatron's injury is more serious than we know and that the Lions are keeping it under wraps so that he will continue to get double coverage. Cam is mentally fragile and it will be interesting to see if he is able to put aside another bad game, should it occur. I would prefer to have RGII and AJ on my team, so most likley make that trade. Of course the gamble is that Megatron steps up and blows everyone away, which just could happen.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking. I drafted Cam to early not to ride him until the end.

I just offered the Cam/Mega trade and he declined. lol Oh, well. It was worth a shot. I wonder what I could get for Cobb or Moore. They are both sell high kind of guys to me. Who would you trade them for? What do you think of my depth? I'm wondering if Beanie Wells is worth picking up and sitting on until he returns from injury.
