I am currently #1 in my league with a 7-3 record. I have some baggage on my bench and wondering if I should make some adjustments on the FA market. Don't feel I need to make any trades as I feel my team is pretty solid going forward barring any injuries of course.

I want to keep D Keller as a backup TE with J Graham getting banged up a bit this year and A Brown to handcuff the notoriously foot plagued A Bradshaw.

I'm thinking R Meachem, S Hill, and a D/ST.

Players on FA that standout are:

RB: J Rodgers, D Thomas, J Bell

WR: Pretty much no one worth more than Meachem and Hill.

Meachem is a sure drop and you could pick up either Rodgers or Bell in his spot. Thomas is interesting only because of the situation with Bush in Miami. He is obviously on the way out of Miami as a FA next year and it wouldn't surprise anyone if he had reduced touches, but that will most likely happen after the Dolphins are eliminated from the playoffs. No telling which week that occurs.

The one thing that has lead to some of my success is looking at my playoff weeks and the remaining waiver wire defenses that could make for a strong play. Either due to playing the likes of the Jaguars or Chiefs at home for example or being in a climate that could have sever storms/blizzards.

I'm not a fan of your defenses for the most part....assuming your playoffs start in week # 14.

Week 14: Green Bay playing the Lions and the Patriots getting the Texans.

Weeks 15: Green Bay playing the Bears and the Patriots playing the 49ers.

Week 16 Patriots playing the Jaguars I like...and Green Bay playing the Titans could be interesting.

Again I would go out to NFL.com and view the entire schedules for your playoff weeks to see if a waiver wire defense gets a really bad team that could lead to them getting lots of sacks, turnovers, or keeping the team to a real low score. If your league rewards on keeping a QB under a certain amount of passing yards then perhaps targeting a defense that might get Sanchez or Folk of the Eagles might be a good play. If Big Ben doesn't come back who do the Steelers play?

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
