Now week 11 was more like it! I said last week I needed to be lights out the rest of the season to have a chance of reaching my annual goal of 180 correct, and going 13-1 in week 11 was a step in the right direction. I stand at 107-52-1 for the season overall and with 6 weeks left I need to average slightly better than 12 right each week the rest of the way to get to where I want to be. That's a pretty tall task, but I'm an optimist when it comes to this sort of thing and think it's possible.

That said, I hate taking so many road teams in week 12. But you go with who you think will win and sometimes it's road teams. Here are my week 12 NFL game predictions:

Houston 31, Detroit 27
Dallas 24, Washington 23
New England 38, NY Jets 24
Atlanta 24, Tampa Bay 21
Indianapolis 24, Buffalo 20
Denver 31, Kansas City 13
Chicago 20, Minnesota 17
Cincinnati 31, Oakland 24
Cleveland 19, Pittsburgh 16
Seattle 16, Miami 14
Tennessee 23, Jacksonville 20
Baltimore 20, San Diego 17
New Orleans 31, San Francisco 30
Arizona 20, St. Louis 19
Green Bay 28, NY Giants 27
Philadelphia 21, Carolina 17

There you have it: my week 12 NFL game predictions.

Denver came through for me in week 11 as my Survivor Pool Lock and that improves me to 9-2 for the season. Here are the weekly picks and results:

Week 1 (W; 27-23) Detroit over St. Louis
Week 2 (L; 18-20) New England over Arizona
Week 3 (L; 24-27) New Orleans over Kansas City
Week 4 (W; 38-14) Houston over Tennessee
Week 5 (W; 45-3) San Francisco over Buffalo
Week 6 (W; 23-20) Atlanta over Oakland
Week 7 (W; 21-14) Minnesota over Arizona
Week 8 (W; 24-15) Green Bay over Jacksonville
Week 9 (W; 31-13) San Diego over Kansas City
Week 10 (W; 28-7) Seattle over NY Jets
Week 11 (W 30-23) Denver over San Diego

In retrospect I really wish I had chosen Cincinnati last week so I could have Denver this week, but those are the breaks. While none of the available teams for me to choose from are what I consider to be heavy favorites (I've used all the teams I am very certain will blow out their opponents this week), I am okay with who I have left. While there's always a revenge factor for a QB going back to the city and facing the team that he holds a grudge against, the fact is that Carson Palmer's defense isn't good enough to prevent opponents from outscoring them most weeks. I think a red hot Andy Dalton will put up some big numbers and the Bengals defense be just good enough to foil Palmer's revenge plans.

My Survivor Pool Lock for Week 12 is: the Cincinnati Bengals over the Oakland Raiders.

I really think your pushing it with the NO-SF matchup. SF 37, NO 24. Although NO defense has been playing better lately, you saw what SF did to Chicago last week.

Squeaked one out last week with the Dallas pick, but got me to 9-2. I'll take Denver this week in a good matchup vs KC.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
