After a strong 4-0 start, my team limped into the playoffs at 7-6. A combination of my key players not performing when supposed to and opposing teams having unbelievable games.

I felt I had a strong draft and strong team. I felt that my leak was that I didn't have a strong enough #2 RB. I tried to pull off several trades, but to no avail.

I lost this weekend in the 1st rd of the playoffs to a team that had Peterson, Charles & Rice at RB's and really not much else. A few of my guys had subpar games.

Oh well, I feel really disappointed and wish another season could start tomorrow. Thanks everyone for all your help and I can't wait for next season to start.

Yup its 50 percent preperation and 50 percent luck. We try to play the waiver, and keep backups for injuries that will happen, but in the end you can do only so much. There are just let downs when players should perform or as many people probably found out this weekend when they outperform as in Seattle blowing up for 40pts or Cam with close to 40.

We get frustrated and say we'll never play again, only to be back next year. My one suggestion might be to pick up a second league, sometimes that can mitigate the pain. Spread your chances of a championship when one team tanks.

Hope to see you back next year!

I agree with Nic and a second league.

When I first started playing in the mid 2000's I had just one team as I didn't want to be in many leagues and have to deal with rooting for a player just to realize in another league I was facing that same player. After two championship appearances in the first two years of that league that I lost...one legimate lose and the other lose during the Peyton Manning "lets sit him rather than going for the perfect season" days...I'm still bitter about not being able to start him and losing because of that. I left fantasy football for many years.

Then I was asked to join a league and inherited a very bad team. Didn't do anything of significance in 2009 but won in 2010 and again 2011. Unfortunatley lost this year but have already decided to join another league that does a live in person draft etc just so that "All My Eggs" aren't in one basket. I know I'm only missing out on two more weeks of FF by being eliminated this past week but it would surely be more fun if I was still in.

I am alive in 1 of 4 leagues, got wiped out last week in 3 of them, and of course the FFS Challenge............ : ( ........ so maybe a win this week in my last playoff spot and i can get to the championship and salvage something?
