It's been another ho hum year for fantasy football. I have seriously started to doubt my preparation and drafting ability. Much like the many years preceeding this one, I have used a similar strategy that Russ provides in his eBook. I had a few discussions with other indivduals on this forum about that strategy and I may have used it for the final time this season.

Currently I am last in 2 leagues (2-11 and 4-9, but last in total points) and playing the championship in the third with a 8-5 record, sneaking in as the 6th and final seed. Thankfully I can hopefully hang on my hat on a championship run in my work league. Strangely enough I used the SAME strategy for all three leagues and the results were similar in terms of draft players, but a first to worst swing in one league.

Injuries plagued MANY owners this season, for me (and others I talked to on FFS) it was the RB position that was continually decimated and pickings on the wire got thin quickly. Of course early in the season, we didn't see the likes of Bryce Brown putting up numbers, so it was very difficult to speculate that far in advance. Other rushers like Alfred Morris were picked up after week 1. That meant running with who I drafted.

Still with as poorly as 2 of my teams have performed, I still good about how the year has gone overall. Duties as commish in 2 leagues pulled me in different directions, dealing with the ongoing issues during the season and trying to keep every owner involved.

Of course I spent quite a few hours on FFS again, hopefully I was able to give a few pieces of good advice. Unlike last year I was also able to keep up on the Watch Lists I post following each week (through week 13) as well as the WX Rock to help those who don't know the weather will be for their players.

More importantly it was the interaction with everyone on the forums, as well in chat that makes this service the best. From the guys behind FFS who continue to run a top notch service, to everyone I have talked with, thanks for a great year! It's wonderful to part of a great community that comes together because of fantasy football. The side games we have going here (line up challenge and the pick em contest, as well as the FFS league) are great and gets people involved and interacting more.

So best of luck the rest of the way, if you happen to play 2 more weeks of football. For those who didn't make it this year, we can always look towards 2013 and the dawn of another fantasy season. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well.

TBH you have been outstanding again in sharing your opinions. I am sorry to hear that 2 leagues didn't work out for you, but know only too well how injuries and unmet expectations from players can derail a season. No matter how much prep you do, it often comes down to luck. I was second highest points scored in a 14 team league this season, but barely squeeked into playoffs as 8th seed and lost to the only person I would have lost to in the first round. Just the way it goes some years.

Merry Christmas to you and your family and best of luck in the new year (and in your championship game)!

Thanks Russ. You are right. that's the way the pigskin rolls. Luck plays a big factor and sometimes we guess right, other times....not so. Regardless, it's still been a wonderful year here on FFS, in my 3rd year. Possibly taking home the championship for the 2nd time in 3 years and looking forward to the 30th anniversary draft in the league I run in Vegas next year.

TBH, you're one of the best, I always look forward to your advice! Most of the time it is just luck of the draw as to who you play each week. Best team in the league can score the 2nd or 3rd most pts. but play the worst team in the league and they score the most pts that week?

Just keep doing what you're doing! Good luck next year in Vegas and have a wonderful holiday season.

You know sometimes looking over my teams I drafted, total points and my H2H record, I doubt myself and ask "Do I really know what I am doing?" Even though there is not a wall full of championships after 29 years, I still have a solid base and enjoy share knowledge and information with others interested in fantasy football. It's great to see so many people come to these forums somewhat skeptical and walk away a champion.

Thanks for the words Glenn, Vegas for the 30th. Gonna be huge. Have a great holiday as well.

Thanks TBH for all the help. You and the other posters got me Leshoure, Cecil, David Wilson and lots of great D's this year.

I ran into a buzzsaw on Sunday.

My opponent scored more points than any other team this year with Brady, JCharles, Forte, VJax, Mike Williams, Witten and the CHI D. He deserved to win, but I had a shot (for about the first 20 minutes of the first game anyway)

Going for the 3rd place money next week, and thanks again.

Wow, yeah that does say buzzsaw, doesn't it. Sorry to hear about the defeat Bruce, but we can smile and look forward to next season.
