Hi Gang,

First off hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year...with Black Monday behind us I for one am happy for the Cardinals (and for TBH and his Chargers) while keeping in mind there are peoples lives and families affected by all the coaches, staffs and GM's that were let go...but that's what you sign up for when you take on a head coach job.

The real stats are this for Wiz after six years overall record (a losing one BTW) 45-51, yes 6-playoff games, 4-2 in those, a Super Bowl appearance and the winnest head coach percentage in Cardinals history but the real producer of most of that was Warner not Wiz.

Offensive line stunk when he got here...stinks when he left other than the Warner years a losing record. An absolute debacle of manging the QB and RB and O-Line position other than Warner and no running game....he's a coordinator not a head coach.

I for one have revived hope that the Cardinals can move forward...my first choice would be to offer Cowher whatever he wants... if that can't be done (and most likely can't be) then I'd be happy with Ray Horton as HC and hire Norv Turner as OC. Andy Reid works too or Chucky. Don't want a college coach...Kolb is useless because he can't stay healthy of the current crop of clowns that are out there or will be...I'd go after Romo...he needs a change and has skills especially if Norv was your OC or I'd take Alex Smith shy of those two...keep Kolb and suck another year, build your infrastructural (O-Line) this year and get your Franchise QB next year...

That's the view for the Drummaster chair!

Great article Michael.

Romo is not going anywhere though. Bidwell just said he is not willing to give up on Kolb. Translated: They would take too much of a salary hit to get rid of him and get a new QB. The Cardinals are too cheap to go out and get someone new.

Rumors today say that Andy Reid is the front runner to coach the Cards. It makes sense since he would put in a system more appropriate to Kolb's abilities and he has coached him before.

Graves was an awful GM and deserved to get booted 2 years ago.

If they improve the o-line then they will be better. P. Peterson took a step back though and had massive coverage breakdowns.

Reid has a real project on his hands if he comes here.

Reid sure does have a project but it will be in KC but with the #1 pick lets see if something can be done
