Sounds like a dynasty team Tony. Who else do you have on your roster? There's a lot of hype about Miller right now taking over as the primary RB, but I question how well he'd hold up in a featured role. I'm always leary of making high pick deals before the NFL draft as talent needs opportunity and what if the Dolphins draft a RB or re-sign Reggie Bush? Not likely, but still possibilities right now.

In any case, I would need to see your team before deciding if Miller is a good acquisition. Please post who you have currently and I'll come up with an opinion.

You certainly do need a good starting RB as none of these listed are reliable for consistent touches. There's upside with them, but nothing I'd feel good about heading into the 2013 season as regular starters.

The same would hold true with Lamar Miler right now. The combine has finished up and while there's only one RB considered to be a sure starter (Alabama's Eddie Lacy) you never know if a guy is going to start sneaking up (ala Doug Martin last year) between now and the actual draft.

In any case, you probably can't count on the top 2-3 RB's falling to you with the 4th overall pick.

Is this a combined rookie/available free agent (in your league) draft? Maybe a veteran RB who wasn't on anyone's roster at the end of last season ends up being traded, or released and lands in a situation where he would be featured (think of a guy like Roy Helu being traded to a team like St. Louis if the Rams lose Steven Jackson in free agency)? If veterans like that are also available to be drafted in your league, then there's a chance between now and the draft that a move gets made that could mean a RB who could be a better prospect than Miller would be available to you with that 4th pick.

As long as there's no immediate deadline for the trade, I would say don't do it. Let's see how things shape up as they go along the next 6-8 weeks. March 12th is when free agency opens in the NFL and there are likely to be cuts and trades that happen in the weeks right after. Plus more buzz about the draft will be going at that time to give us a better read on the rookies.

One thing is for sure, you NEED an upgrade at RB and if nothing better is likely to be there with that 4th pick, I would deem this a trade that at least has a chance to be good for you.
