He's not a bad QB but I don't think he's worth that kind of money QB. Wonder what the Cowboy fans here think about this?

We had to do it for many reasons IMO. First and foremost we needed cap relief just to sign our upcoming drafts selections. Not to mention the possibility of signing some veternan FA's that are coming to realize the big money days for many of them are gone. By signing Romo I believe it gives the Cowboys close to $5M in cap space.

Plus if we didn't resign him he was going to be a FA in 2014. This fact borther me least since I feel the Cowboys would have likely outbid everyone.

I'm fine with the signing as I believe Romo is a top (10-12) QB and the money he got albeit top (5) money I believe in the current QB salary rankings isn't a big deal to me give the Cowboys have the resources.

If they didn't sign him IMO the 2013 could have been a complete lose.

I agree with James here.

There are too many bad starting Qb's in this league. The QB position is the most important on the roster. The Cowboys had to resign him. Especially since this years draft is really weak on QB's.

I doubt if Romo plays out the entire contract.
