Hi Kids, starting to get fired up for the upcoming year... and hopefully with my job change a more actively posting Drumaster...I know there are those who would prefer I didn't!

So my question is my league we can keep one player from the previous squad and with TD's being 6-pts BOTH passing and rushing obviously RG III could easily be the keeper.

I have Alfred Morris, Megatron, Stafford and Kapernick on the squad as well. My scoring system is in my sig., RG III would seems the "duh" keeper but I'm just curious what say ye?

I can make arguments for any of the others listed. Morris could be a bell cow, Megatron is well Megatron and with our scoring system both Stafford and Kapernick could put up good numbers with Kapernick being somewhat RG III-ish, in other words he'll run a few in...could also suffer sophomore jinx.

Just looking for some thought opinions...hope you all are doing well!

Hi Michael,

RG # 3 is a choice due to the 6 TD points. However...............!!!!!!!

Seriously, you could keep Megatron over RG # 3. Griffin has had two ACL surgeries now and we all know what happens to mobile QB's in the NFL. Garcon might not even be back in time to start the season which means another crappy receiving corps in Washington. RG # 3 will be running once again and could he take a third ACL injury?? There is a good chance he gets his clock cleaned. A lot of risk here. QB's to me are a dime a dozen.

For me, I anchor my team with Megatron. The good news here is if Stafford gets hurt, S. Hill steps in to toss bombs to him. You can keep him for years to come as well. RG # 3 gives you a powerhouse only if he stays healthy. Which is in serious doubt now... Plus you have to deal with mad man Mike, who could pull him at anytime if he has a bad outing or two.

I keep Megatron especially with the 1 ppr angle. But that is just me. I like to play it safe with my anchor players.

Either one for your choice. But I tend to think out of the box and over analyze.....

Michael, glad to hear you will be back to bust my chops(these other guys are just too nice). I am a RB guy and RB's are always at a premuim. I have to keep Morrris unless Shanny pulls a Shanny? RG3, look at Cam last year. Will be good but D's will adjust! At some point Megatron will stop being Megatron and just be a very good WR which you can grab after you rack up on RB's. But if you want to go QB, I think I prefer Kappy this year

No bad choices here and great arguments can be made for each. But to me, RG3 is too risky to keep because of the reasons James said. Especially when you have these other options. Between the two QB's, I'd actually rather have Kaepernick as I am bigger believer in him.And as for Stafford, while he is an excellent choice too, it just goes to show that you can get great QB's without having to keep them.

That said, I wouldn't keep a QB. QB depth is just too great now.

As for Morris, while I was very surrised at his production in 2012 and there are plenty of reasons for optimism moving forward with him, it is difficult to trust Mike Shanahan to stay with one RB. Remember, it's been his M.O. to ride one guy until that guy gets injured and then move onto the next guy and perhaps never return to the first guy. Besides, I don't think Morris is an elite RB, nor will he ever be one.

That leaves Megatron. The elite WR in a class all by himself in terms of skills. Smack dab in the prime of his career. While I agree with Glenn about RB's being at a premium, it's hard to keep a guy like Morris in what has historically been an unstable situation over a WR like Calvin in what has proven to be a great situation for him.

I'd keep Megatron, but as I said before: no bad choices.

Thanks for the responses guys...Megatron was my keeper last year and certainly a good choice again...with our scoring system the QB's are weighted heavier BUT I can probably get Kap or Staffaord at my first round pick if I want to still go QB being that I have #5 overall (RG III) may even fall that far but I doubt it.

I'm always a firm believer in a strong running game so it will all be about who is kept and what the 4-guys ahead of me do....thanks again!

I agree.

I picked up Kap... as a rookie in my 4 year keeper league in the 22nd round in our draft.
