Well this was a bit unexpected... Arian's saying "no doubt" Rashard Mendenhall is the Cardinals' No. 1 running back.

Thought he was washed up. Still a pretty low fantasy RB to me though. Arizona's line has been terrible. I don't think just rookie Jonathan Cooper can turn it all around.

I have mixed feelings about him. He was a top RB just three years ago when he played behind a mediocre line in Pittsburgh.

I don't think Arian's is dumb enough to give him a full load right away so I think he will split carries with Williams. But the prospect of Mendy running behind Cooper is tantalizing for fantasy.

However, the 0-line at the most will be mediocre for the Cardinals and I think Arians is more concerned with making sure that line can protect Palmer and keep him healthy than how good they can run-block.

I look at Mendy as just a depth player you can put on your fantasy bench. He is nothing but a RB # 3 at the most right now. I drafted him last year in the ninth round of my 4 year keeper league and I have him slotted as my RB # 3 behind R Bush.

Another thing that will hurt Mendy's stats are that the Cardinals will most likely be behind playing catch-up in most games and have to resort to the passing attack often. The run stop teams in the West division are tough too. They play San Fran and Seattle twice and the Rams have an improving defense.

Mendy is worth a pick, especially if you can get him late in the draft, just don't expect too much from him.

I picked up Ryan Williams and I'm stashing him on my bench in a wait and see approach. I just got a feeling about Williams if he can stay healthy.

You should have seen Mendy at practice on Fan Day, No pads, there was not suppose to be contact, staying in to pass protect, Acho came free off the corner and Mendy went for it, put both on in his chest and bam pancake--Trouble was a brewing and tempers had to be chilled, The crazy's in the stands loved it.

Pass protectection may keep in game a littlemore, Ryan's pass protection is not there yet.

I believe by mid-season You will see the next big wavier wire sensation Stephan Taylor. I have not seen any Stanford games but Im thinking I should, this kid looks like he could be electric.
