Firstly, you guys have a great service and should be commended for it. My problem is this: I look at my draft analyzer and see Reggie Bush ranked 25th overall and Lamar Miller ranked 26th overall. When I look at their (VBD), it is equal. However Miller is scoring .35 more projected fantasy points and yet he is ranked under Bush by 1 slot. I guess my long-winded question is when I am drafting am I supposed to be using the rankings as the analyzer ranks them? Does the analyzer recommend Reggie Bush over Lamar Miller even though he technically is projected to score less? This happens down the list with guys that have the same (VBD) value. Thank you ahead of time for any clarification you guys send my way.

Welcome!

I assume this is a non PPR scoring system? Just remember that there are many factors figured into these rankings. Since Miller and Bush are ranked that closely the difference is negligible.

Just remember that the DA is just a tool for you to help make a drafting decision. Personally, I would much rather have Bush than Miller in any format. The Lions have high powered weapons and a better QB around him and he can be a game changer and is a great weapon in both rushing and receiving points.

Even though big things are expected from Miller this season, he is still an unproven RB on a very mediocre team with a bad QB.

All the tools are great on this site but I disagree with them sometimes and run with my gut on a drafting or lineup decision if I don't feel good about the prediction.

I think the main strength on this site is the forums. We have a great deal of knowledgable people giving advice on this forum and to me, that is the greatest tool available.

Please program your scoring system into your profile so everytime you post a message it will automatically come up. Scoring systems mean everything when giving fantasy advice. When the season starts, the messages will be piling up and I for one will not answer a fantasy lineup question without knowing what the scoring system is for that team.

One thing I will say is that the draft board on this site is the most accurate I have ever seen and I have used other sites before and I use the FFS board for every draft I am involved in. Just double-check to make sure you entered your scoring information correctly on the site.

Welcome to the board!

James

When the difference is that minimal between the players, the VBD defaults to which player is projected for more weeks with a higher point total. It's a by-product of the tie breaker for ranking players when we used to have a rounded number system instead of the strict decimals.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
