TE Jared Cook- St. Louis Rams

He was supposed to break out last year but could not mainly because QB Jake Locker was horrific in the pocket and his supposed pro-ready talents were exposed as not being ready for prime time in Titan land.

Now Cook is with the Rams and has QB Sam Bradford tossing him the rock which is a considerable upgrade in an offense that still has rookies and a general lack of experience at the WR position.

What makes Cook attractive is that he will play in the slot opposite rookie WR Tavon Austin.

Cook tied Rob Gronkowski for the most catches over 25 yards in 2012. Cook is fast, has soft hands, and does not drop many passes.

Is this the year he turns out to be the breakout player we thought he would be in 2012?

James agree the Rams are an upgrade however Jeff Fisher has never been known to use the TE allot, he was with the Titans a long time...don't ever recall a dominating TE during his stay.

Upgrade in personal...yes... upgrade in scheme...stay tuned

Fisher intends to use him all over the field. He will play TE, WR, and even in the slot.

BIG time sleeper that is a deep threat. Plus, the unproven WR's on the Rams is another factor.

Fischer went out and got Cook who posted some good numbers while in TEN. He is big at 6-5 with 44 and 49 catches the last 2 years. STL doesn't have the best WR corp in the league. Cook is the most experienced (4 yeasr) in the WR/TE corp the Rams have.

Another TE to watch is Jordan Cameron in CLE. Even though that offense has struggled the last few years, there is a new coaching staff in place (sorry Norv is now a Brownie). Pitta will probably be on many owner's list as well after the numbers he put up last year even with starting the season injured.

RADAR! TE's seem to be back at a premium this year and depending on the league you're in, and how your draft is going I think Cook is more than a sleeper. Think the OC will contol that. But I could have him as my #1.

I was curious about that as well. I have done a few mock snake non PPR drafts, and he has gone from 8 to 12 in a 10-teamer. I am going to try and take him somewhere in there. Also, any value in AGates this year, non PPR?

I see him usually going in the ninth round.
